Aphrodite Solana Collins hates Genevieve Parker with a passion.

They're loud, obnoxious, and she's pretty sure they let their boyfriend eat all her cookies.

In addition to that, they're a thief. Genevieve stole Aphrodite's most expensive pair of shoes and won't disclose the location.

Unbeknownst to Aphrodite, they sold the shoes online for some quick cash.
Either way, stealing was the last straw of many offenses. Aphrodite was moving out and far away from her roommate from hell.

She loaded all of her boxes into the truck outside, all by herself- how tragic.

Two hours later, Aphrodite pulled into the parking lot of a new apartment complex.

Here's to new beginnings, she thought.

"Welcome. I'm Delilah." A feminine voice said as Aphrodite walked up and stood next to the handsome stranger.

"Will Bettelheim. Nice to meet you."
Ew. Aphrodite's face scrunched up in distaste for the name. That's definitely not a hot guy name, she thought.

"Aphrodite Collins." The sweet voice caught Joe's attention and he quickly looked over to match a face to the sound of her voice.

Hello you. Fuck, it's happening. Look away. This is supposed to be a fresh start. Joe's thoughts raced but he was pulled out of his trance when he realized Delilah was speaking to him.

"Your credit came back sparkling, Will," Delilah spoke out. "Oh, good, good," Joe exclaimed nervously. "Yours was fine too, Aphrodite. But I looked you up. You're not on the socials. Like at all. Thought you might be some kind of freak." Delilah said to Will suspiciously. "You, on the other hand, the photos don't do you justice." Delilah complimented looking at the young woman.

"Thank you, that's so sweet," Aphrodite replied with a smile. The sound of her voice sent a tingle down Joe's spine, once again.

"Just not great at keeping up with that stuff," Joe responded.
Delilah made a joke to lighten up the somewhat tense mood, "Do you not keep up with brushing your teeth?"

Aphrodite chuckled quietly, but Joe heard and couldn't help the grin that spread onto his face at the sound of her laugh.

"Okay. I just have this vacancy on the first floor."
"I'll take it if you don't mind Will," Aphrodite said.
