Spl Chapter: Max ( Brother's Banter)

" Hey, Tharn. Why did you ask your guards to not let me in? I'm your assistant, did you forget it?" Max accused Tharn, who didn't even bother to look away from his computer screen, and sat down on the chair opposite Tharn's.

Tharn then looked at Max, the way he was sitting no splayed out on the chair and turned to his computer as he spoke " By the look of it, you are the one who forgot your my assistant. "

Max rolled his eyes, " Ya, you don't forget positions, you forget promises."

Tharn looked at him with a what drama are you upto now?look.

" Man, don't act like you don't know what I am talking about. I did just as you asked me to, l have come here now for the return favour. It was just yesterday that I saved your ass and the random guy you found in flight so don't bail up on me. "

" Yeah , you were very helpful, wondering how much more useful you could have been if you bothered to read that letter till the end." Tharn scoffed.

" See, something is better than nothing. And oh who would expect something that crazy, like the baby you just met being yours not to mention that guy. I helped you , no matter how small. I prepared your parents to accept you coming home with your lover and child. Do you even know how difficult it was to drag aunt from the airport?"Max argued.

Tharn sighed, Max somehow managed to convince him. Help Tharn .

" Okay go on.. what do you need ?" Tharn asked .

" Your bodyguard, T7R1. Tul. " Max blurted out.

" What did you say? What do you mean by you want him?" Tharn asked, shocked. He really hoped what he was thinking was just him overthinking. Maybe Max wants him as his bodyguard.

" You can take it anyways, literally or logically" Max gave a sly smile." I'm fine with both, him in my bed or him being my guard or him being my boyfriend. One is gonna lead to the other anyway, just a change in order."

Tharn rubbed his temples, ladies and gentlemen, whoever thought Tharn was the most perverted kirgun, you are wrong,for Tharn presents to you Max .

Tharn really has to give it to Max for even thinking he or Tharn will be able to order Tul to bed with him.

" You are either funny or delusional to think Tul can warm your bed. Snort I will have to collect your bones if at all he left any, in the morning to arrange for a funeral." Tharn snickered.

" Fine, make him my bodyguard." Max settled.

"From when did assistants have bodyguards?" Tharn taunted his cousin.

" I'm a kirgun. '' Max deadpanned.

" Fine , I'll appoint Frank as your bodyguard." Tharn resumed his work after answering.

" Fucker , what am I supposed to do with that midget. I want Tul , only him. I want him so I could hit on him. Clear? Max fumed.

" Do you even know what T7R1 means? It means.Tul 7th Region 1st Rank. I have to demote him from guard of boss to that of assistant to place him under you. It can even affect his ranking. " Tharn explained.

" Then promote me." Max offered.

" As a boss? Then let our family go bankrupt? No thanks." Tharn declined.

" I don't know what you'll have to do. Keep your promise. You are a demigod after all, you practically transformed a man to women and you both have a baby.  Live upto your status cousin." Max said.

" Max, he may have a body of that of a woman and not a man, but he prefers to be referred to as a man. So …"

" Chill, I always refer to that guy as male. Just pointed out your outstanding capabilities, don't plan on getting me cancelled from the company to escape the promise."Max got up from his seat .

" I'll give you a day , I'm sure my brother is capable enough to transfer Tul to me without affecting his ranking. Don't want him to hold a grudge against me. " Max patte Tharn's shoulder before leaving.

Tharn sighed.

Tharn called his bodyguard and asked him to come to his cabin immediately.

" Sir " Tul reported to him as soon as he was let inside.

" Tul, have a seat. " Tharn gave him a smile.

A genuine one, he really had a big soft spot for Tul. If Tul hadn't been so religious about his bodyguard rules they would have been great friends .

" I'm fine standing sir." Tul spoke again.

" I have a personal request ,Tul. Please sit down so we can have a talk" Tharn spoke with guilt which convinced Tul.

What he is doing is wrong, it has always been that way when it comes to Max.

" Sigh, I don't know how to start. I feel really guilty and you don't have to accept my offer if you don't want to." Tharn let out a nervous chuckle.

Tharn continued " I made a promise to Max, and he used it to seek your protection. Basically, he wants your protection."  

" Can't I guard you both sir, as an assistant he will always be with you. Or I can have someone from my team do it for him. I don't want to compromise on your safety unless it's an emergency for the others." Tul spoke.

He had this unwavering loyalty towards Tharn, which many didn't understand.

" Oh, no. His life is really under danger. I promise you that. A powerful force beyond any of our guards capability is itching to shred him to pieces. You are our best, so can you protect him. Just for sometime. I'm not demoting you. I'll explain to the agency and make sure your ranking isn't affected either…"

" I don't care about the ranking sir, as long as I can serve you. I will report to Mr. Max whenever you want sir." Tul cut in.

" Why?Why are you even that loyal to me? How can you not care about your ranking , it is your career?" Tharn asked out of guilt .

Tul gave him a smile before answering "That was my mom's wish sir. She told I owe you my life and should always be helpful to you. I'm not acedemical blessed to work under you, so I trained to be a gaurd sir. "

Tharn knew Tul, he had saved him years ago.

He was a teenager back then, that day he came to know he was his parents adopted kid so he had caused a scene and left from home telling his parents he will be back after he clears his head.

He drove aimless and stopped in a dessert road in outskirts.

It was there  he saw a mother helpless struggling in pouring rain with a son his age wounded fatality by accident. There were no vehicles passing by due to rain, but the mother tried desperately to drag her son out of road, stop bleeding and call for help. Failing in all. It tugged his heart. A mother wanting his son so badly, unlike his own mother.

When she left her son's side fetch something, Tharn who was far enough to be not spotted, stepped out of his car and healed the boy. He was sure no treatment can save the boy. It was his first time healing someone so close to death, so it drained him…. He was close to fainting when he saw that the lady was back, she was in shock but there was relief. She bowed to Tharn and all he could reply before rushing to his car was " Forget what you saw."

When he saw Tul years ago, he came to know he was that boy, but thought it was a coincidence.

" Thank you Tul. Just tell me if he troubles you.I'll make sure to increase your salary, and don't refuse it. You deserve it for working with that problematic guy . " Tharn instructed.
