Ashley Brooks.

"What if I can't do it?" I whispered to myself.

I suddenly felt a hand on my shoulder.

"Ashley, don't say that. From what your brother and Parker said about you up there, I'm pretty sure you'll make it. You seem like a really strong young woman and you're gonna do great." said Morgan with a smile.

Even when I was doubting myself, Morgan managed to make me feel better. I'm not saying I don't expect the others or even Morgan to do this, I just figured they'd give me the "tough love" treatment like Parker did when I started working at the station.

It was a way to make us stronger and more independent and it really did work, but having someone tell you they believe in you feels great and positive in myself.

I smiled and climbed into the Suburb with him, we drove down a busy street and finally made it to the BAU.

A tall building towered over us with more floors than I could ever imagine. I figured this is the amount of space and people that it took in order to successfully run the Behavioral Analysis Unit and I've never felt more excited before in my life.

As we walked in, I noticed desks, offices, and many people walking by us. We stepped into an elevator that took us to the tenth floor, which surprised me. I never thought I'd ever step into a building with more than twelve floors.

"Agent Brooks this is SSA Jennifer Jerome." introduced Hotch.

She was about an inch shorter than I was with beautiful blonde hair. Her smile was comforting in a way where I could trusted her with literally anything and I'm hoping this feeling was right.

"Hi, nice to meet you. Ashley, right?" asked Jennifer with a smile.

I nodded, "Yes. Nice to meet you too."

"Alright JJ, Tell us what we have here." said Morgan as we walked into a big room with a round table.

I sat next to Morgan and watch as a picture of a boy appeared on the huge screen in front of us.

"Mark Bennet, nineteen years old, green eyes and brown curly hair. He was found in the park down town." explained JJ showing pictures of the boy.

He was laying on the ground bleeding from his chest and his hand were placed over his stomach. The area around his left eye was purple and his hands were covered with cuts and bruises.

Whoever did this to this poor boy was not happy with him and probably had some sort of anger towards him or men in general... at least that's what I'm getting.

"Mark had multiple stabs to the chest, mostly where the heart is located at. He had a black eye, meaning he was beaten while he was held captive and has bruises on his arms as well." explained JJ.

"Any signs of restraints?" Morgan asked.

She shook her head and zoomed in to the boy's arms and legs, "Both arms and legs are clean of any restrain wounds, I'm thinking he was killed the same day he was taken."

"Sexual assault?" Emily asked, still looking at the pictures.

Again, JJ shook her head. "Test cane back negative."

Spencer's eyebrows furrowed in confusion, "This is odd. The majority of cases where the unknown subject or unsub doesn't torture, sexually touch, or even leaves a mark quickly become serial killers and it's a quick progression. This usually ends with the case unsolved and a maniac on the loose."
