𝙲𝙷𝙰𝙿𝚃𝙴𝚁 𝟸 (𝚂𝚄𝚉𝙸𝙴)

• Y/N'S POV •

After the movie we made our way to Dustin's house since he was coming back from his sciency summer camp. We were all hiding behind a wall as eleven was controlling a few toys and things to lead into a path were we would surprise him, "now" mike whispered to el and all the toys went silent.
We slowly and quietly snuck behind him and counted down silently with our fingers

we all used noise makers and blew into them loudly. Dustin turned around and yelled as he sprayed Farrah Fawcett spray into Lucas's eyes he screamed and we all stood there for a few seconds before Dustin stopped. I just looked at Dustin in shock as to what the fuck just happened.
Max walked over with Lucas to get the spray out of his eyes and I followed the rest of the group over to Dustin as he showed off his machines, I herd a faint yell from Lucas but thought nothing of it since it would definitely hurt like hell trying to get that out. Everyone started walking towards the door before I realized I had been lost in thought the whole time, I turned around and started running slightly to catch up
"Wait so her name is Susie?" Mike says
"Suzie with a Z she's from Utah" Dustin replied happily.
"Girls go to science camp?" Will asked confused.
"Suzie does she's a genius" Dustin replied again.
"Is she cute?" I ask looking at him intrigued as we were all walking down the hall.
"Think Phoebe Cates , Only hotter." Dustin said. "What's going on?" Max looked over from the sink with Lucas.
"We're going to talk to Dustin's girlfriend" Will said while the rest of the group was already walking outside.
"Girlfriend?" Max and Lucas said at the same time. I shrugged as me and Will walked out. The door shut and the group all got on there bikes as I grabbed my skateboard. Max and Lucas already ran out so she was grabbing her skateboard too. As we all started skating/riding our bikes, max said to no one in particular
"When did Dustin get a girlfriend?"
"Science camp." He replied promptly.
"And shes real, like not in a magazine or something?" Max asked.
"Max!" I whisper yelled looking at her.
"What I think it's a valid question!"
I've never seen Dustin look more unamused in my life.

As we made it to the giant hill I groaned and through my head back. Max turned and grabbed my hand and started pulling me up the hill before I could realize she was, we were walking at the same pace each carrying things Dustin told us to.
"Aren't we high enough?" Will complained.
"Cerebro works best at 100 hundred meters." Dustin said slightly out of breath.
"You know I'm pretty sure people in Utah have telephones." Max said.
"Yeah but Suzies Morman" Dustin replied.
"Oh shit, she doesn't have electricity?" Lucas asked cluelessly.
"That's the Amish." Max said looking over at him.
"What are mormans?" Will asked.
"Super religious white people." Dustin explained.
"They have electricity and cars and stuff ... but since I'm not morman her parents would never approve." "It's all a bit Shakespearian" He added.
"Shakespearian?" Max questioned.
"Yeah like Romeo and Juliet." Dustin said proudly.
"Right" I said sarcastically.
"Star-crossed lovers." Dustin said.
"We got it". Max said.
None of us noticed that mike and eleven stopped walking with us.
"Hey guy!" Mike yelled. "This is fun and all but uh,"
"I have to go home." Eleven added.
"Where almost there?" Dustin said disappointed.
"Sorry man, curfew" mike said then whispered something to el and she yelled "good luck" before they ran down the hill laughing.
"Curfew at 4?" Dustin said.
"There lying." Lucas said annoyed a little.
"It's been like this all summer." Will said sadly.
"It's romantic" max chimed in.
"It's gross" - will
"It's bullshit." Dustin said. "I just got back."
There was a pause
"Well, there loss right?" I said trying to lighted the words. Dustin nodded and started walking.
"On wards and up words, Suzie awaits!" Dustin said happily as the rest of the group or what was left of the group sighed. I smiled and looked over at max and kissed her cheek as we were walking.
"Will come on!" Will yelled and I looked back while walking and saw him catching up.
Eventually we made it to the top and Dustin said "made it."
"Yeah only took five hours ." Max said rolling her eyes.
"Why couldn't we just play D&D." Will said and I put my hand on his shoulder for a minute and then walked over to Dustin to help set it up. I herd Lucas mumble about how thirsty he was and then it followed by drinking sounds that lasted for what felt like 10 minutes and I turned around and looked at him as max looked heavily annoyed.
"Did you seriously just drink the rest of our water." Max said as Lucas looked at her and then spit the water back into the canteen and smiled trying to hand it to her.
"Gross." I mumbled
She looked down at the canteen then up at him and shook her head as she walked over to help me and Dustin set up the cerebro.
After everyone joined in on helping and we built it we all stood back and looked at it.
"Pretty impressive right?" Dustin said proudly.
"Yep" I said
"Now,you ready to meet my love?" Dustin asked to all of us.
"Okay, sure" max said.
"Yeah," Will said.
At this point the sun was almost set and it was almost time that I had to go home.
"Suzie, this is Dustin, do you copy? Over"
All we herd was radio static as max looked over at me in a "I told you so" way. I rolled my eyes playfully.Dustin looked up "uh, one sec... she's, she's still there." I looked down at my watch it it was really getting late at this point.
Dustin repeated his statement from before.
"I mean it's dinner time ." He said. "Here"
"Yeah." Lucas said.
"Or maybe she's busy or."
He tried again. "Suzie do you copy this is Dustin over."
Radio static.
After about thirty minutes of Dustin trying to talk to Suzie we were all laying in the grass at this point . Max was laying her head on my stomach.
Dustin kept repeating the same thing.
"Dustin shes not there!" Max finally said annoyed.
"She's there alright she's gunna pick up!" Dustin said quickly.
"Maybe cerebro doesn't work" Will added.
"Or maybe Suzie doesn't exist." Lucas said he said slightly mad at the wasted time.
"She exists!" Dustin remarked.
"Come on shes a genius and hotter then Phoebe Cates? No girl is that perfect." I said half asleep and half dying of thirst. Max sat up off of my and looked back at me.
"Oh?" She asked.
I sat up quickly. "I mean your perfect."
"Perfect uh, In your very, In your own way, your own very special way." I said trying to save my ass. She laughed.
"Relax I was teasing," she said.
"And obviously I'm perfect and obviously Suzie isn't real!" Max said looking over at Dustin for the last part. She stood up and put her hand down for my to grab.
"Let's go dumb one." She said half joking.
I grabbed her hand and we started walking Lucas following us.
"Where are you going!?" Dustin asked.
"Home." Max replied.
As we were walking I looked down at my watch.
"Shit." I said and started to run down the hill.
"Wait where are you going?" Max said running to catch up. I stoped turned around kissed her on the cheek and hugged her.
"I gotta go my moms going to kill me." I said and turned around to run she grabbed my arm first and I turned.
She moved closer and kissed me, I was shocked at first but kissed her back immediately. I heard a cough and i pulled back and looked over to Lucas standing there awkwardly with his hands in his pockets. I smiled and looked back at max before running towards my skateboard and started skating down the road.
"I'll see you tomorrow!" I yelled.

• MAX's POV •

I watched as y/n skated down the road smiling. I hadn't realized how in love I was with this girl until that moment. I looked over at Lucas still standing there and laughed at him before I got on my skateboard and he hopped onto his bike.

I think I've decided to continue writing but Ik. Not 100% sure yet since I've only had about 2 reads. But I think I genuinely enjoy writing this so Ig we will see.
