Then I met his eyes.

And I dropped my drink.

It went to the floor in slow motion, and you could see every movement. Like a million pictures being taken so you could study it's fall. It tilted slowly, letting all of it's content fall out. It hit the ground with such an impact that the noise popped in our ears. I saw how the liquid poured out of the plastic and spread all over the place. I closed my eyes. I knelt down to pick up the cup.

When I looked back up, the mysterious man was gone. What the-. I looked down at my drink. Oh God.  ignored everyone's stares, even those from the humans. Standing up, I left the mess on the floor and ran outside. I slammed the doors open and turned around in a circle. He was nowhere. I looked out in front of me. I don't know why I went after him but I did.

He was just gone.

Gone...

I looked around, searching for him. But I didn't quite know what I was searching for. I only got a real good look at his eyes, nothing else. I breathed out dramatically. He was nowhere in sight.

"Naomi!" Blake called. I turned around to see all of my friends running out to me. "What the hell?"

"S-Sorry." I said, confused. I brushed my fingers through my hair and groaned really loudly. I looked back out, away from my group. Maybe to see if he was out there.

"Are you okay? You shouldn't have done that." Mason told me.

"I'm sorry!" I exclaimed, moving on my heels to face them.

"Sorry? Sorry?!" Hayden exclaimed angrily in my face. "A Rogue suddenly disappears and you go running after it? Getting yourself in danger! What the actual hell is wrong with you?" She growls.

But it wasn't a Rogue! Jesus Christ. How could it be so goddamn hard for them to stop yelling at me and just think about what they just saw?!

"Hayden." Kadan warned. I was getting really tired of them shoving it in my face. "Naomi-" He started but I cut him off.

"Dammit! I know, okay? God, I won't do it again." I yelled at them. Hayden just looked at me bewildered.

"You could've seriously died right now! Do you know that?" Hayden continued to remind me of my mistake. I groaned like a bratty child.

"For crying out loud, Hayden! I got it!" I cried. "Just leave me the fuck alone! Stop causing so much drama!" I threw my hands in the air and stormed back into the coffee shop. I slammed my hand on the counter and everybody looked at me.

"Can I help you?" I said and all the gazes that had been placed on me were averted.

I shook my head. Who was he? No, the question is, what was he? I mean, obviously he wasn't a Rogue. How come I was the only one who knew that? Everybody sensed that he was a Rogue but no Rogue disappears into thin air. Right?

Right.

So what the hell did I just see? I could feel my eyebrows furrow. I was frowning. It just made absolutely no sense. It can't. I have read everything there is to know about werewolves, especially Rogues. I know their scent by heart and this wasn't a Rogue.

The only thing that was clear right now is that I now know this smell.

"Naomi?" Mason interrupted my thoughts. He had rested a hand on my shoulder. I looked at it and then at him. "I paid. Let's go." He told me and I nodded.
