✤ NerveGear - a helmet that sends electrical signals into the brain via the form of Electromagnetic fields at the bandwidth of over the range found in microwave radiation levels. Its purpose is to trigger certain patterns of chemo-electrical impulses that mimics into an alternate virtual reality.
With the help of NerveGear, a player can completely be immersed in a virtual world. When using NerveGear, all the signals sent by the brain are blocked and processed so that they only affect the avatar in the virtual world. This immobilizes the user's physical body therefore there's no risk of running into walls in the real world while playing in the virtual one.
✤ Paradise - the world inside EXODUS is called paradise. There are eight paradises: each paradise is comparable to a level. Clearing a paradise gets you closer to victory.
✤ Clover Leaf - each pair is given three clover leaves upon entering the game. A pair cannot go through another paradise unless all three are complete. All players are allowed to steal each other's leaves.
