It was time for the podium and everyone lined up in front of it even though McLaren didn't make it onto it. The british anthem played and every eyes were on Lewis. I wonder how he feels like after that crash. He got out of it well but Max...

After the celebrations I made my way to Lando again and told him i'll be leaving tomorrow and drive back home to London. "You told me you're free now. Why would you go back after just one day of racing?" he said. "The next race is in 2 weeks. Do you want me to sleep on the track or what?" I replied. "No, but you can do what you want. What if you'd join me in Monaco for those 2 weeks? And when it's race week you can leave again or even come with me to Hungary." "Look Lando, I love spending time with you and watching your races. Your offer also doesn't seem so bad, but I don't wanna depend on you." "No no no, it's totally fine. Come on, just those 2 weeks and afterwards you can decide." "Alright fine." "Yayyy" he said hugging me again. "We still gotta drive home first though, I need to pack my bags."
On our way home we listened to the kind of music we used to listened together when we were kids. All the good memories i've had with him and supporting him with his karting even then. And now he's a Formula 1 driver. When we arrived our mom already stood on the doorway watching us taking bags out of the trunk. We walked towards her when she gave us two a big hug. "Congrats my sweet boy, we watched the whole race you did so well and Lora, how was it watching it for the first time. It must've been exciting. You gotta tell me everything in detail." "Mom, relax, We will tell you everything just let us in first and we can eat dinner altogether." I said. She let go of us and we laid our bags down. Dinner surprisingly was ready already and we all sat down at the table. "So?" mom looked at us. "It was all pretty exciting and new for me. I've met some nice people and the day went pretty well. It's definitely better than watching it on TV." I said. Lando just nodded. "Lando, I saw Max crashing. Is he alright? she asked. "Yeah, just a few bruises but that's it." "Are you guys still so close? Haven't heard from him for a while." "We often talk in the paddock or go out for dinner in Monaco... speaking of Monaco.." he continued. "I offered Lora to join me in Monaco for the next 2 weeks. To get to know the place and see where I actually live." "My little Lora all grown up, can you believe?" she said. "Mom!" I rolled my eyes. "No, it's totally fine, great idea."
I looked over to Lando and he just smiled at me. "Well, better pack your bags now lil sis, we're leaving tomorrow morning." he said. My eyes widened immediately. I'm not really a spontaneous person. The invitation to Monaco was quite spontaneous enough for me but how was i gonna pack my bags in a few hours and sleep well, without overthinking if I might have forgotten something. Normally I would've at least needed 4 days in advance. But okay, that's the life now. Spontaneous. Quickly I made my way up to my room and started packing instantly. Monaco was a very sunny place with a beautiful beach so the first thing I packed was my bikini. Once I was done, I was hoping I didn't forget anything but I should be good.

The next morning Lando bursted into my room and yelled "Good morning sunshine!" "You almost scared me to death and how are you up so early?" "Hm, I must've forgotten to tell you but we fly in 2 hours." I made my way out of my bed and stumbled into the bathroom and made myself look pretty.

The flight went smoothly and a cab picked us up and drove us to Lando's apartment. I was amazed by the view. The narrow buildings and streets. It's all so different to London. The drive went by pretty quickly and I couldn't get enough of the view and haven't closed my jaw ever since I got here. We got the bags out of the trunk and went inside. I was wondering how my older brother would decorate his home. When he still lived with us, his room was always a mess but surprisingly this wasn't the case anymore. An open kitchen a big living room and some bed- and bathrooms, all decorated in a minimalistic but still modern style. "I'm amazed. Didn't know you can clean." I said. "Shut up." he rolled his eyes at me. "Monaco is amazing, I get why half of the grid lives here" I tell him. "I know right. Okay so, what do you think of me getting some things for us to cook lunch and you.... can either come with me or go to the beach or explore Monaco a little?" "Well, I'd love to go to the beach and enjoy it on my own a little to be honest. But I'm definitely looking forward to lunch to see you cook, because I've never seen you do that at home either." "Oh c'mon, you'll be fascinated, I promise"
Lando said. He grabbed his keys and waved before he left the room. I was still in love with his apartment. I took my bags and took them into my temporarily bedroom. I put on a bikini but put a t-shirt over it and walked outside the door making my way to the beach. On the way I looked around and couldn't quite catch my breath. We've never really traveled as a family before, so I didn't know how it would look like outside of England. But there I was, at Larvotto beach. Many people around me. I put my towel onto the sand and relaxed a bit, before I felt my eyes getting heavier and heavier.
A loud noise woke me up again. It was a call from Lando asking if I got lost. I told him that I just fell asleep and would make my way back home. No way I just slept there for 2 hours, but I guess I was just tired from the days before. I walked back to his apartment. I took the keys Lando gave me for his apartment out of my pocket and unlocked the door. As I walked in I said "You know I was thinking we could-" I couldn't believe my eyes.
