Mirage was born in a very disadvantaged area of the scorpion's den on the streets, she's the oldest surviving dragonet of what was a rather large family (at the time she had two older siblings, they died of malnutrition and dehydration at around one year old) sickness spread through the poorer areas shortly after she was born, the outclaws did all they could but many died regardless including Mirage's aunt, grandmother and a few of her younger siblings and cousins. Mirage tried and failed to be recruited to join Thorn's outclaws so in order to support her still rather large family she went into assassin work for Vulture and his gang she was very good at her job because of how potent and fast acting her poison is (due to her rainwing genes) and the fact that it cannot be cured the way normal sandwing poison is (it's cured the way rainwing venom is)
Years along the line, Mirage's mother had died of sickness by this point, Vulture's underground was finally collapsed by queen Thorn, Mirage got herself off of that path with the help of a few sort of friends and became a merchant to support her younger siblings through JMA. Mirage is now around 21 (in human years) and has no idea how to read or write (she's being taught by her siblings when they come home for holidays)
She likes her brightly coloured scarves (she sells them and other little paintings, carvings and handmade jewellery)
