Ranz Emilcon’s POV

“Ano, kaya pa ba?” natatawang tanong ni JJ habang nakasalampak sa couch ko at naglalaro sa PS5 niya.

I rolled my eyes at his question because he was obviously teasing me.

I am now on my clerkship year at hindi na ako mahagilap ng barkada. I still make time for them, of course, but studying is more of my priority. Naiintindihan naman nila iyon. Hindi na rin ako laging nakakasama sa Saturday basketball game namin dahil kahit na wala naman kaming duty tuwing weekends, tambak naman ang mga gawain at quizzes. Seriously, wala na atang araw na hindi ako pagod simula nang pumasok ako sa med school.

“Madami ka pa bang gagaw’in?”

I nodded. I still have to review because we have presentations on Monday. Besides, revalida is in a few weeks. I seriously need to get that shit done if I want to graduate on time.

Nandito si JJ ngayon dahil wala si Gwen. Nasa ibang bansa kasi ito para sa isang convention kaya naman ako ang ginugulo ng mokong. The other two were busy with their girlfriends, and Ryann? Well, I really do not know with that guy. Lately, hindi rin siya mahagilap.

"Awat na muna, erp. Tara daw sa Bolinao bukas sabi ni Mayor," aniya.

Tumayo siya para kumuha ng tubig sa ref. Bumalik siya sa kinauupuan ko sa study desk sa may sala at iniabot sa akin ang isang bottled water.

Kumunot ang noo ko. Kakasabi ko lang sa kanila na marami akong gagaw'in.

"Pass."

"Bawal pass. Mag all-nighter ka na lang mamaya. Tulog ka na lang sa byahe bukas, kami na bahala," natatawang sambit niya.

Napailing na lang ako. Hindi rin naman nila ako titigilan hangga't 'di ako pumapayag.

Nagpatuloy na lang ako sa pag-aaral. Siya naman ay nahiga sa couch ko saka natulog.

My phone pinged for a text message.

Babe 💕:
Henlo, bebe ko~

I smiled automatically upon seeing her text. We've been together for three years now, but I still get kilig over her simple text.

I typed my reply.

'Hey.'

'Punta ko dyan mamaya hehe let's review together :>'

I was about to write a reply when another text came from her.

'Pa-Bolinao daw kayo bukas? Haha sakto pala, plan ko din mag all-nighter!!!'
