Wanted again?

Dear hope,

It was very shitty of you to break up with me through paper, I'll admit that. I still forgive you, because I love you so much. I really miss you. I just hoped you didn't leave without giving me one last kiss goodbye. It's honestly sad that I can't be with you right now.

I know what you did was for the best but I deserved one last hug or something. You not being here pisses me off a lot. Not really at you but at the world. I hate that you didn't give me a chance to tell you what I wanted, and I hate that you just decided for me.

You and I both know that I would have loved nothing more than to be with you, long distance, or not. I guess what I'm really trying to say is.. I miss you a lot, and it's useless writing these to you if I'm not going to send them.

I know you're probably out there with some other girl or guy not even thinking about me, it's been a year now and I'm still thinking about you, I'm such an idiot and I'm pathetic. Maybe I'm writing these things down so I can finally come to my senses. Just know I'm here whenever you need me.

It's been 5 years now and Hope thought it would be a good idea that she had finally came back home after her years of college. The auburnette hasn't been home since forever and it now started to not feel like home, she did visit her family in New Orleans though but she knew she couldn't just visit back in mystic falls without wanting to stay.

Hope being the honorable person she is, she hasn't really dated, sure she got back into her old habits with sleeping around but she hasn't dated anyone or anything like that, she was still sad and mad at herself for the way she left things with Josie. The short girl also was mad at herself because as Lizzie's best friend, she was supposed to be there, and yet she wasn't.

School was out and Hope had graduated from college, she already knew she didn't have to work but she thought maybe it would be a good idea that she did. Not a lot of people like to depend on their family for help. She did 5 years of college to become an artist.

It was another and regular day for the brunette, she didn't know what she was planning to do but she was starting off her singing career, after a little convincing from Lizzie and Penelope.

The girl didn't find interest in college, she thought it was no point, it was just a waste of time if everything she planned to be didn't need an college degree. She got her diploma, so that's all that matters.

"Hey Josie" Stefan says as Josie walked into the house with her boyfriend.

Stefan fixed his eyes on the boy and he wanted to throw up in his own mouth when he saw him.

"Hey dad, where's mom? I told her that I would drop off some things before I went back to My house" the brunette explained as she walked over to give her father a hug.

Stefan smiled a bit "well it's great to see you after a whole week"

That's when Josie's boyfriend decided to speak up. "We've been kinda busy" he winked at Josie. The brunette couldn't help but to blush.

Stefan took the boy by the collar and lifted him up. "You want to take it outside? Because I won't hesitate to stick my foot so far up your a-"

"DAD!" Stefan turned to face his brunette daughter. "Let him go" Josie warned

Stefan rolled his eyes before letting him drop down to his side. The poor boy started to cough to regain his breath.

"I'm out of here" he says before he ran out of the house. Josie gave her father that look in which he only shrugged.

"You can't keep doing that to people dad, especially to my boyfriend, you know how he is and I know how you are but you will learn to respect my relationship, you've done it before" Josie was furious.

Stefan crossed his arms "Hope is different , I actually trust her, I don't trust that boy" Stefan admits

Josie shook her head "he hasn't given you any reason to hate him. Yet, Hope left and not only broke my heart but I haven't heard from her since, and you easily forgive her, I don't get you dad" Josie scoffed before she turned around and left out of the house.

Stefan knew he was being biased and unfair but Hope would always have a place in his heart as his 'daughter in law' and everyone knew this.

Hope pulled up to her mothers house and everything looked the same on the outside. The only thing that scared her the most was walking in and seeing her room change or something. It didn't really matter since she was getting her own place.

When she got out the car she was immediately met with her mother who brought her into a hug. "Hey hope, I've missed you so much" Hayley says as Hope just smiled.

"I missed you more than you know it." Hope whispered before pulling away from the hug. "I know I just got here but I have to go see Lizzie, is there a chance she's still in town?" Hope asked

"I never thought you would ask" said a voice.

Hope looked pass her mother and saw Lizzie standing in the door frame of her childhood house. Hope smiled before running over to hug the blonde. "I missed you so much" Hope muttered

"I missed you too asshat" Lizzie says before slapping Hope in the back of her head.

"Ouch!" Hope was ready to slap Lizzie back but Lizzie gave her that look.

Lizzie smirked "you knew you could have called me or something in which you didn't and I should honestly kick your ass, if Josie was here she would kill me for hitting you, I'm glad she's not" Lizzie crossed her arms.

The sudden mention of Josie warmed hopes heart. Of course the auburn haired girl wanted to see Josie and she was even ready to get back with the brunette but she knew it wasn't going to be easy.

"How is Josie by the way?" Hope asked shyly earning a curious eyebrow raise from Lizzie.

Lizzie rolled her eyes "come help bring the bags back in the house!" Hayley says as she walked pass them.

Lizzie chuckled a bit "you're going to be living with your mom?"

Hope shook her head "I'm getting my own apartment, I'm just bringing in my moms bags that she left in New Orleans. The place I'm getting is about 10 minutes away, I'll show you if you tell me more about Josie" Hope didn't want to sound desperate but she missed the girl.

Lizzie sighed "before I tell you anything else, I have to tell you that Josie moved on.. she has a ... a boyfriend now" Lizzie admits sadly.

"A BOYFRIEND?" Hope asked in horror.
