It's so dark, especially compared to the hospital room. Where am I? The boy questions to himself. He cant really see any of his surroundings. There's a tingley fuzzy feel in the tips of his fingers and his feet, the feeling drags up his leg the longer he stays. A thick, white, fog resting around his body. Thin black tar like liquid swishing around his bright red shoes. The only noise being the rippling effect that the tar has crashing into his legs and other small waves around his body. The light smell of salt being washed away by the, now becoming overpowering, stench of iron. No breeze making it to him in any direction, but the metallic scent swallowing him in waves. Conflicted, confused, and concerned he makes a move to walk towards the smell. But the murky blackness beneath him taking the shape of arms, grasping at his pants. They hold him in place so he can't find out where the odor is coming from. But a voice making a clear path in the mist that surrounds him. "I'm sorry." The voice, barely a whisper in the distance, catches midoriyas attention causing him to whip his head towards the sound. Todoroki. His mind mumbles in his ear. The voice is horse and scratchy. His vision becoming blurry as he continues to gaze at the panorama in front of the standing boy. The scene turning into a blur of red and blue. There todoroki sat, sitting on the heels of his feet. Arms laying limp on his sides with his eyes squint, trying to keep them from closing on themselves. Midoriya, at first, frozen in place because of the sight displayed in front of him. After a moment though, his mind progresses the boy in front of him and he makes another attempt of moving in the direction of pro hero Shoto. He tries to clear his vision and push through the inky substance holding him in place. The fog coming back as smog and fills his lungs making it hard to breathe. He coughs till his throat burns like acid trying to reverse the direction of the toxic fog that filled his lungs to the brim. His own hands around his throat to cut off his air way so no more can enter him, though he fails because it continues to invade his lungs like a foreign invasive species.
As quickly as the toxic fog came, it left without a trace around him. The smog, the muck beneath his feet, the adrenaline, and the panic all leave without a trace. The only thing to remain is the bloodied almost corpse in front of his own. Only now realizing his own wounds that spead over his body like wildfire. He doesn't really pay much attention to the blood oozing from his body though. Most of his attention is pointed at the figure that sits in his view. Midoriya takes off in a sprint towards him as soon hes freed from the hands of the icky substance, ignoring any pain the shoots through his body. Dropping to his knees as he picks up the almost corpse of hero in training, Shoto, who is barely alive at this point. The tears that midoriya pushed down earlier replenish to his eyes again. Shotos clothes being slightly sticky from the quickly drying blood, that is still squirting from the wounds in which he's covered in. "I'm sorry." Shoto whispers again. Midoriya is quick to shush him as he pulls him up from the boys knees, to his own chest. "Hey, it's okay. You're going to be okay. I promise you." Even though he spoke clearly and full of emotion, the words flew past the boy in his arms as if he hadn't heard them in the first place. And in return to the words, Todoroki looks up and stares at the boy holding him in his arms of protection. A ghost of smile featured on hero Shotos red stained face as he cupped the other boys face as gently as he could. His red soaked hand caressing the others cheek slowly pulling him in smearing his blood on Midoriya slightly. They ignore the blood that pools around them and all over each other as they meet in the middle where their foreheads touch. Midoriya smiled softly back at him. Shoto mumbled somthing incoherent to the other and as soon as he did he crumbled into pieces in midoriyas arms. The boy became a chalky black and fragile texture as he broke and fell through the boy's fingers again. Midoriya couldn't hold his emotions in longer. A nasty sob racked the boys body from the inside out. He tried to grab at the dust left of todoroki, but his fingers couldn't quite grasp it. Hot tears that run down his face falling as the dust collected and absorbed them. Midoriyas breath quickened as his hearing becoming fuzzy, but it's not like there's anything to listen to besides his roaring weeps. His hands start to shake as he continues to grab at the hero. Trying so hard to hold him in his arms again, but failing to do so. He screamed as he cried. Now holding both hands to his chest, squeezing them together till his knuckles change colours. Giving up at trying to grab at the ash like dust in front of him. He brings his head to where his knees lay and curls in on himself. To the outside eyes it's like looking at a four yearold that's curled in ball that was lost in a grocery store. Crying and missing his momma. Only its wasn't his mum in this situation, it was the person closest to him. And this time he couldn't be found. He was stuck. He was lost.

Midoriya blinked awake. Tears streaming down his flushed cheeks. A thin cold sweat layering his body. Breathing slightly heavier then it should be. He must have had a nightmare, he thought. But he couldn't remember it. He cant grasp onto what the dream was about before it left him alone. He wiped his clammy palms on the rough fabric of his hospital clothes. The window didnt let any light in besides the moonlight that shines bright in its half moon, Midoriya can only assume it's dark outside because of it. There seems to be a clock on the table next to his bed that he hadn't noticed before. Maybe the detectives left it there since there wasnt a clock in there already. Midoriya thought to himself. The clock read "2:27AM" he hummed softly at it in thought. A couple more hours of sleep would've been nice but he'll make do with what he's been given.
