Desperate Times, Desperate Measures by underoath blasted through my Ipod docks speakers as I got ready for the day. I threw on a pair of jeans and a Nothing More tee-shirt and called out to my wolf ‘RedHawk?’
‘Yes?’ My wolf replied sounding distant.
‘What was that dream about? Why was Abbey in the dream? What was I…You? Going to say? Was Wahya controlling Abs?’
‘While you sleep we, all of the wolves, can meet and if we want you to know something through hints we can make you dream about it. If it involves mates both have the same dream but in third person point of view’ RedHawk explained calmly sounding at peace and for once not insulting me for my lack of knowledge.
‘So Abbie doesn’t know I’m her mate?’ I asked quietly.
‘Yes and before you started dreaming about my encounter with Wahya she asked for me to get you to help Abbie notice that you two are mates by becoming her friend again, and now that I think about it, it’s a good thing you are Beta since both Alpha and Beta need to get along and become good friends…”RedHawk trailed off before disappearing from my mind completely.
I sighed then walked over to the assassin house where Abbie slept last night since she still needed to move into the packs main house where the Alpha dwells. Entering her room I found her sleeping before a pillow flew at me hitting me square in the chest. Chucklinjg I made my way to my mates bed. Sitting on the edge of her bed I shook her shoulder softly “wakey wakey Eggs and Bacey!”
“I dun wan ta wakey n I dun like eggs and…” She trailed off in a sleepy voice.
Abbie P.O.V.
I landed on the floor with a loud thump as my head hit the floor jolting me awake. My pillows and bedding surrounded me with Damien looking down at me with the mattress standing on its side in his hands smirking, “I told you to get up nicely then had to take action since you wouldn’t listen to me”
“You will pay for this Mein” I growled standing up as he quickly exited the room. I ran to my bathroom connected to the room stripping as I started the water for a shower. Done in the bathroom I ran to my closet towel wrapped around my torso I grabbed a blood read sleeveless top, faded dark grey skinny jeans, combat boots and applied my usual make up which consisted of black eyeliner and dark grey eye shadow.
I ran downstairs grabbing keys to my motorcycle before taking off to school. Arriving my hair was a bit messier than I wanted but at least it was ok. As I unmounted my bike Damien broke away from his group of friends to join me, “Ready for your first day of school Alpha?”
“Hmmm I think you forgot about your high rank here at school, where you can’t talk to lower ranks with out being shunned. Why do you care anyways? You never have be for Oh so faithful Beta” I replied not answering the questionhe presentedwhich he should have known the answer was a ‘Hell ya I’m ready.’
He chuckled “You are now Alpha so why don’t you try to fit in with the higher ranks here and earn the respect you deserve?”
I rolled my eyes he was so dumb “No thanks to be an Alphas or any other higher ranks here are you have to be a slut, whore, or a bitch.”
This time he had the guts to laugh at my answer “Technically you are a bitch.” He glared at a few of the other jocks at the school who were looking at any part of my body that wasn’t my face, then he slung his my shoulder nonchalantly.
“What are you doing?” I hissed as he shocked me “and you shocked me.”
“Some of the guys are looking at you and they aren’t werewolves, so they have no reason to be looking at you like they are and just so you know you shocked me”
“I thought you wanted me to become a higher rank, so shouldn’t I be getting attention?” I teased, “Do I smell jealousy?”
“No you don’t you just think you do…” he said quickly trying to hide the seceant.
“Well if you’re going to mess with the humans you need to let me know I like to play along,” I pouted.
“Abs what are you going to do?” He asked nervously as I turned and stepped closer to him.
