Shigaraki entered the dark bar. He was dressed in a full suit, like in his golden years, feeling confident in what he wanted to do from his day. The moment he saw Katsuki, his ever still face flickered with an emotion, too quickly for anyone else than him to understand its meaning.
Joy. Pride.
The Caretaker was proud to see his son again.
Quite naturally, he greeted his son with polite manners, as he usually did when they were all living together. He was well educated. He was also a bit disappointed when he wasn't greeted back, even by the normally affectionate "fuck off" he had heard most of days when Katsuki was both young and in his teenage year.
"I'm disappointed that you could be so predictable. But I guess that the same tricks are getting old, huh ?"
Ignoring the question, because he knew he would expose his plans if he did, Shigaraki answered with a question on his own.
"And where is your brother ? I'd like to see him too, after all."
"He's not here."
Of course he wasn't. Did Katsuki hide him in the bar building, or would he have to play hide and seek again ? But again, it was Tomura's favorite game beside the video ones, so Shigaraki wouldn't mind. As long as they got to be a family all over again.
"Plus, don't you have a restraining order to aply ?"
"We both know that's a useless paper."
The Caretaker grinned. Katsuki wanted to keep on the conversation as long he he could. To give time for help to arrive or for Tomura to get as far as he could ?
Shigaraki laughed at the very idea. He laughed a gross, ugly, maniacal laugh. His eyes lit up, like he just heard a very good joke.
"So what ? You're just going to try and restrain me from seeing my other son ?"
Katsuki cringed. The customer in the back shuffled. Rappa bristled, but didn't move. Shigaraki grinned once more as he heard movement upstairs.
"He's not your son, and neither am I."
"Katsuki, don't force me to result to violence."
"I'm not the scared child anymore, Caretaker."
Shigaraki hated to be called that. He had told them so. One would think that after making this mistake once and getting locked in a closed for several weeks with little food and water, you would try and refrain yourself from doing so ever again. But Shigaraki was willing to let it slip this time. They'd have all the time in the world to get back to the old habits, after all.
"C'mon Katsuki, no Dad ? I'm hurt."
"You're about to get a lot more hurt, you know that ?"
The Caretaker took out his gun. Katsuki did the same. They both knew Katsuki had the upper hand. Shigaraki wanted to get back his two successors, as he called Tomura and Katsuki. On the contrary, his 'son' wanted to add his head on the bar's wall.
Multiple shots were heard.
Or so, Katsuki thought he had the upper hand. He didn't take into matter how quickly his father could make up a team. And the fact that he still had many, many people on his side. Regretfully, not the Shie Hakaissai anymore since they 'protected' his sons, but still enough to get Katsuki and Tomura back.
Katsuki got shot in the leg, and his arm had took enough damage so that he couldn't hold a weapon anymore. Shigaraki was pretty sure one of his ribs were damaged, coming from the cracking sound he heard at some point.
He walked over to his son to cup Katsuki's head in his palm.
"What a disappointement, knowing your last name when you took in Tomura used to be Bakugo."
Touya couldn't have heard right. Katsuki's original last name was Bakugo ? As in, Firecracker's last name ? His childhood sweetheart ?
He didn't know what to say, but right now he really wanted to punch one of that asshole's teeth in. From what Monoma had said, he was a child abuser apparently somewhat related to Katsuki and his brother.
The moment he was free, he wouldn't take bullshit from Aizawa and would suspent everything he had on his plate to help freeing Katsuki. Because he knew none of them had the capacity to stop this man as he took away Katsuki.
That was when Katsuki's team, one he had become familiar with, ran in the bar, various weapons in hand.
"Blasty ! Are you alright ?"
The squad busted in the bar. Katsuki was holding his side, the Caretaker above him. Some men were holding down Rappa.
"Now Katsuki, you didn't think I would be coming back alone, did you ? Be a good boy and come home."
"Fuck you... old man..."
The squad's weapons were drawn.
"Step away from Katsuki, Shigaraki !"
The man looked at them like they were nothing more than bugs he'd have no problem stepping aside, yet he would rather squish. And somehow, Sero had a feeling he could.
"And you think these are scaring me ? I have your big friend and your boss here. It do seem pretty counterproductive to threaten me, don't you agree ?"
"The whole place is surrounded, give up !"
The Caretaker looked at who spoke -Goddamnit, Mina !- dead in the eye, then picked up the almost limp body of Katsuki, who stuggled a little before more likely passing out. Touya and Monoma were also there in the back, threatened by three of Shigaraki's men. Both of them either a worried or a furious look put on.
Shigaraki made some sort of hand movement, and more of his men poured into the room. He threw a look at the explosion squad, as they called themselves, then started walking the stairs.
"Never."
Katsuki's leg had been shot, he was pretty sure he couldn't move one of his arm anymore, and his hearing right now consisted of a constant high pitched ringing and muffled underwater like sounds. Being beat up by your former kidnapper -thought he was probably his actual kidnapper, considering his current situation- wasn't fun.
They were moving. The blurry shapes he could manage to see looked like they were running. Were they on the second floor ? That would explain the strange moving feeling he had earlier. Was that Tomura ? Maybe it was. His whole world was floating, like the only time he had been high. He also promised himself to never do it again, why did he feel high ?
He was placed into something, most likely a leather seat. He was in a car ? Wasn't he supposed to wait for the Caretaker into the bar ? Beside him was Tomura. Or, what he assumed was Tomura, due to the hair and eyes color, and the height. He should be hidden with Eri to get away from Shigaraki.
He couldn't bring himself to care right now. Maybe later, when he wasn't high.
He let the darkness surround him.
