You were dustin's older sister. You normally tried to stay out of his weird stuff but lately you noticed something was off. It seemed like he was in trouble. And one new thing recently is that Steve Harrington was hanging out with your brother. Yes you heard that right. That was one particular reason you were also more curious as to what your brother was doing. You and Steve had started flirting and talking more. It was hard not to when he would come over so often to hang out with Dustin. You knew you liked him but you couldn't risk the rejection. So you just tried not to think about it and focus on your brother. You couldn't fall asleep because of him. It was 11:30 and your brother was still not back yet. What could he possibly be doing? As if to answer your question you hear noises coming from the back door. You slowly and cautiously walk out of your room to see what was going on and in the darkness you can make out Dustin, Lucas, and Max dragging another person in.
You flip the lights on and they all look up at you and freeze.
When the lights go on you can make out who they're carrying and it's Steve.
"What the hell happened?!" You usher the kids to bring Steve in your room.
"Um my brother kind of beat him up" Max says as she kind of shrugs after they all put Steve down on your bed.
"What the fuck"
"Ya it's kinda hard to explain right now but could you just please help us Y/N" your brother pleads with you "just please make sure he doesn't die" You want to laugh but Dustin is dead serious and is waiting for an answer.
"Alright alright, I'll help him. But after this your going to explain what's going on. And lucas, max, you guys should probably go home it's late." They both nod you think you hear the door open and close.
The noise of the door closing must have woken Steve up because he all of a sudden sits up and looks around to see where he is. You can tell he's confused and panicked so you put your hands on his chest and try to make him calm down.
"Hey it's me Y/N your ok. Dustin brought you home and your safe."
Steve seems to ease up a bit and relax after hearing you.
"You ok?" You ask after a moment of silence.
"Ya you know nothing like getting the shit beat out of me" Steve tries to make a joke to lighten the mood but your still concerned for him. He's already got a black eye and his lip is busted.
You cup his face with your hand and look him in the eyes.
"Really Steve. It looks pretty bad"
He realizes your worried and clears his throat before talking again. "Ok ya it hurts pretty bad"
"That's what I thought" you smile at him before getting the first aid stuff from the bathroom.
You start patching him up. It's hard to focus when you can feel Steve staring at you. You hope to god your not blushing.
"Ya know this would be a lot easier if someone wasn't staring at me the whole time" you stop what your doing and look at him.
"Oh my bad I didn't know looking at someone wasn't allowed." He sighs and finally shifts his gaze. You go back to patching him up and your almost done when you feel a hand reaching up to move hair out of your face. You were too busy to notice how your position with Steve had changed since you started patching him up. Steve was sitting facing you leaning against your bed frame. And you were between his legs. If you weren't blushing before you surely were now. You stopped what you were doing and looked at Steve.
"Can I help you Harrington?" You put your arms down on both sides of his hips leaning you closer to his face.
"I wanted to tell you how pretty you look right now"
Your breath caught in your throat. You felt frozen.
"What did you just say" was all you could get out. You had to hear it again you had to be dreaming.
"You heard me Henderson. I mean when your this close it's kind of hard not to notice." You kind of just sit there not sure of what to say back.
"Listen-" Steve takes the bandages and everything out of your hands and holds them in his. "I've had a crush on you for a while. It's only taken me this long because I didn't want to upset dustin. And partly just because I'm scared of rejection." Steve kind of nervous laughs and looks to you waiting for a response and you can tell he's nervous.
Not knowing what else to do you lean in and close the distance between the two of you. Steve immediately returns the kiss. You wrap your hands around his neck and he lifts you up so your straddling him and then rests his hands on your hips. You keep kissing him his hands sliding down landing on your ass. You both are so caught up in the kiss you didn't even notice the door open.
"Oh. My. God" is all you hear behind you.
You and Steve both jump and you look behind you to see Dustin, lucas, and max all staring at you with wide eyes.
"Oh shit" You slide off of Steve's lap and you both get up and start to mumble trying to explain what they just saw.
"Don't even try to explain yourselves" Dustin cuts you off
You and Steve both look at each other not sure what to do. You both assumed that he would be mad or upset but before you could say something Dustin just smiles.
"Does this mean your my stepbrother now?" He starts cracking up and Steve does too. They high five and everybody's laughing.
"Haha very funny now you two go home, and you-" you point to dustin "you go to bed"
All the kids groan but they do as you say.
Once they're all gone you close your door and Steve's laying down on your bed waiting. You slowly walk back over to him. He just smiles as you lay down next to him. He pulls you closer to him by your waist and you end up facing him on your side.
"If it wasn't clear I like you too." You say breaking the silence.
"Oh really I didn't get that" You punch him jokingly in the shoulder. You cuddle up next to Steve and look up at him. He smiles down at you before planting a short but sweet kiss on your lips. When you break away you both smile and get comfortable. You fall asleep with Steve's arms wrapped around you.
I guess getting involved in your brothers weird life can pay off sometimes.
