It had been two weeks since the incident with Kevin and Jen still hadn't fully recovered. She had been given a month off to recover and she was spending it locked in her room listening to music or texting Lucy. The blond always seemed to lighten Jen's mood no matter the problem and everyone is very thankful for that. Yet there was one thing Lucy couldn't fix no matter what. Albedo, Jen missed him so much but she was so mad at him. He started to argue with Rook instead of checking to see if Jen was ok but Rook did start it.

Jen sighed and slide off her bed and went to her closet. Jen grabbed some clothes and then headed to the bathroom. Jen ran a hot bath and sighed as she sank into the water. Jen looked up at the bathroom ceiling and hummed as if she was In thought. "Maybe I need a distraction?" Jen said aloud then closed her eyes and continued to hum.

"JEN!" "AHHH!!!" Lucy busted into the bathroom giving Jen a mini heart attack. Jen had instinctively covered her body but then relaxed seeing it was just her cousin. Jen sighed "Lucy what the hell?" Jen asked standing up and grabbing a towel to cover herself. "C'mon we are going shopping," Lucy said and Jen raised a brow "ok, let me get dressed." Lucy giggled and clapped her hands then left the bathroom.

Jen and Lucy walked into the mall and started shopping. "Next," Jen said sending Lucy back into the changing room. Lucy pouted and went back in to put on another outfit.

Lucy walked back out wearing a red tank top and a pair of skinny jeans with black boots. Jen hummed then put her thumb sideways to show 'maybe' Lucy giggled and walked back in.

Next Lucy walked out in a red sweater and a white skirt. Jen started to snicker and Lucy pouted "what's so funny?" Jen put up a thumbs down "I didn't know you liked looking like a candy cane cuz." Jen laughed and Lucy blushed then ran back into the changing room.

Lucy went through a few more outfits before Jen's jaw dropped. Lucy was wearing a red dress with a black leather jacket, fishnet stockings, and black boots. "That is perfect," Jen said and Lucy smiled "thanks Jen, now it's your turn," Lucy said pointing to the changing room. Jen sighed and grabbed the clothes and went to the changing room.

Lucy sat down in the chair Jen had just in time to see all the other clothes Jen had get thrown into the return spot. "Wait you're not gonna try all that on?" Lucy asked with a confused look "no, I already had the outfit I wanted picked out." Jen said stepping out of the changing room.

Jen was wearing a black long-sleeved crop top, a green skirt that reached her mid-thigh, black pantie hose with fishnet socks that reach a few inches above her knee, and black and white converse. Jen also let her hair down and moved some to the other side of her head. It all pulled together gave Jen an amazing punk/goth look.

Lucy sat there speechless then her eyes became full of hearts and she pounced on her cousin. "Jeeennn you look soooooo cute," Lucy said hugging Jen tightly. The two giggled then paid for the outfits and went to look for accessories. They walked into a jewelry store and Lucy went to look at the necklaces and Jen just wandered about. While Jen was looking she saw something she had to have. It was a silver ear clip that wrapped around her ear like a vine with clear jewel butterflies on it. Jen looked at the price it was expensive but Jen bought it anyway. The girl carried on buying more things like makeup, clothes, and stuff before finally heading home.

Jen walked to her room and put her new stuff away and then sat on her bed with a plush toy she bought. It was a white bear with red eyes and it wore a black shirt with a red jacket. Jen looked at the bear before hugging it and falling onto her side crying. Jen stay like that for a while until she decided to go out for some air.

Jen walked out of her house and started towards the same place she always ends up. As she walked she started to hum and sing.

"Excuse me miss?" Jen stopped singing and turned to the person speaking to her. It was a woman with long blond hair, a black pantsuit, and very tired eyes. She smiled at Jen who shot a smile back. The woman got closer to Jen and handed her a flyer "you have an amazing voice and sing like an angel, there is going to be a talent show at the festival on the 25th of next month. The prize is 8oo dollars and a trip to Paris, with a voice like yours your bond to win." The woman said then strolled away and Jen stared at the flyer and smiled "this is gonna be fun."
