He looked at me with his dark brown eyes and in that moment I knew I had found him, my brother. I jumped up high and hugged him tightly.

It's been 5 years since I had seen him, he was my safe house when I was seven. He left me and didn't think twice about it but I forgave him. In that moment I felt safe. Like everything around me wasn't there and we were the only people on earth.

"I thought you were gone" I whispered in his ear, I could feel the tears trickle down my face. He hugged me as though I was something so priceless he couldn't let me go.

"I missed you so much, sis" he said. I was bawling now. I was so happy to see my brother again I forgot what had happened just 10 seconds ago. I pulled myself away from my brother's warm embrace, wiped my tears away, then turned to tell him what had just happened.

But, I couldn't I was at a loss for words. "I missed you too" I said to him. Then I remembered we were still in the room with the other two girls.

"Skylar, Ginny, this is my brother, Lucas" the girls giggled at the sight of him. Skylar extended her arm to shake Lucas' hand. He took it and said, "Hello, pleasure"

When I looked to my brother for his response to this, he looked happy to see me. It was only then I realized he hadn't told me where he had been for so many years. I got up from the floor and gave him a death stare and with that he knew he was in trouble.

"You have some explaining to do, Lucas" I said fiercely. His face turned from his gentle and kind face, to a far more stern expression. He nodded. He lifted himself from the floor. I gestured for the door so he could explain properly downstairs on the living room couch, but before he left he ducked his head.

"Ladies, i'll see you later" he said while he winked at them. They giggled once more as I rolled my eyes at him so he could see. He chuckled and left the room.

...

Once we were down stairs he sat on the couch and looked at me half nervous half stern. I was concerned because it looked as if he was going to give me bad news. "I was 11 years old when I left, when I went to the train station to go to Hogwarts the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, mom pulled me to the side. She said..."

*flashback*

"Lucas your sister cannot know about magic." said mother. "But, why?" asked Lucas. Mother thought for a moment.

"People are out to get her, since she is the second born her powers are greater than yours, causing her to be a target for many people." she said, her voice cracking.

She started to cry, "Please, don't mention your sister at school, do you promise?" I nodded not wanting to cause her to cry even more. I hugged her and went to the steps of the train. "Bye Mom!! When school is done where will you pick me up from?"

She ran towards me looking sadder than ever. "You can't come back after you get on this train, you will live with uncle Ben, me and daddy will visit I promise..."

*real time*

"That was the last time I saw her for a long time. She wrote to me sending pictures of all of you. The next time I saw her was during the summer, she took that trip to see me and Uncle Ben. She does that every year during the summer." I processed his every word.

"Are you going to come back and live with us Lue?" (Lue, is the nickname given to Lucas by Nova) He smiled and nodded. "Yes" he said softly.

Even though all of that news was heartbreaking, I sat there crying and hugging my brother to make up for lost time. We took pictures and hung out until it was time to go. I despised my mother for keeping this secret from me for so many years. I cried, a lot because of it.
