The Lost Key

Part 4 - Through the Wall

Nova's POV

I climbed in the back seat of the car and clicked my belt in the buckle. I looked towards my mother with a now revealed wand in her hand. She was turning and twisting it in her palm. 

I realized that she had been staring at it like she didn't know what to do. "Mum, why didn't you say anything about... about Lucas..." She looked at me stunned as I looked at her waiting for an answer.

"I...I...He uhm..." I sighed as she stuttered over every word. "So it is true then..." but I was cut off quickly by my mom. "Honey you know it was only to protect you, I... I didn't know that it would affect you that much...I...I just..." she kept stuttering over her words.

I was so angry I just ran out of the car hoping nobody would see me and went into the grass field. Tears started rolling down my cheeks adding more crying marks from earlier.

Ginny's POV

I saw Nova run into the field crying and looking angry. I tugged on Fred and George's sweaters and they both looked at me as if in sync. I pointed to Nova and gestured to Mum and Dad. 

They practically read my mind as they rushed right past Mum causing her to drop her bag. I ran for the field out of sight from my parents and Nova's. Once I was safe in the long grass, I heard light crying. 

I turned to see a patch in the field where I assume Nova ran through. I walked through it and took in the breeze coming in. Skylar ran behind me and caught up. 

"Hi, what are you doing?" said Skylar. 

I covered her mouth. Almost immediately the crying stopped. I looked at Skylar and she shrugged as if she was sorry but not really sorry.

I walked through the patch faster to get to her faster so she wouldn't run away. Luckily she didn't leave from her spot on the floor. 

I walked toward her slowly placing a hand on her back.

I'm assuming Nova's brother, Lucas, heard the commotion and came running. One look at his sister and he knew something was wrong.

He rushed to her side and began hugging her around the neck. "Is everything all right Nova? What happened?"

Nova whispered something in his ear and he just nodded. She leaned up against him and then he began to stand helping her up.

Wow, he's a good big brother, I thought to myself. I went to Nova's side and put my arm around her back. "It's alright Nova, everything is alright." I whispered to her. She nodded and wiped away her tears.

Nova's POV

My parents grabbed a couple of things from the car and put it in Mum's bag. They put so much I wondered how it all fit. 

We went back inside the house. I avoided my mother by standing in between Ginny and Lucas. They where the best things that happened to me this whole entire trip here so far.

"When are we going to go?" I asked genuinely confused. "Now." said Ginny's mom, now known as Ms. Weasley. She grabbed a small pot by the fire place and held it out to one of the twins. They grabbed some of the dust from it and stood in the fire place with the other twin.

"DIAGON ALLEY!!" they both screamed. Flames that where taller than them towered over engulfing their entire bodies in flames. I screamed. I looked back but there was nothing there. The twins where gone.

Lucas put one hand on my shoulder. "It's all right. I was scared my first time to." said Lucas, reassuringly. They did exactly that many times until it got to me and Lucas. Lucas whispered to me, "Would you like me to go with you?" I nodded.
