I ended up watching the entire first season with her that night. I couldn't tell you a thing that happened though, because I was so focused on Brooke. I loved how she would shake whenever it got to a scary part or how she would cuddle close to me during the love scenes.

But that was too long ago, I keep thinking back to graduation, and all the parties we were invited too. I also keep thinking about college, and how much fun we had there and graduating with our medical degrees.

"Doctor, you can go now. Go spend Christmas Eve with your wife!" My supervisor, Mrs. Sanchez, said.

"Are you sure?"

"Of course! It's not that much we have to finish. Go on!" She insisted.

"Thank you, so much!" I smiled and quickly ran to clock out.

"Merry Christmas!" Mrs. Sanchez called out.

"Merry Christmas." I called back.

I raced home and was greeted to the smell of fresh baked chocolate chip cookies, my favorite.

"Mmm, smells good!" I reassured my beautiful wife, Brooke, as she sat on the couch with a hand resting on her bloated stomach.

"Thanks Troy." She smile and I leaned down and kissed her softly.

"How's your day been little guy?" I whispered against her stomach. We got married back in May, our child should be here by February, and we couldn't be more excited.

"He's been kicking at me all day!" She said with pain her voice but a smile on her face.

"I'm sorry baby." I rested a hand over her stomach and we watched the fire as we shared our gifts with each other.

Our life isn't perfect, but with each other, it's just about close.
