Souya settled into his seat and Rindō remained in his. Souya kept his gaze on the red-haired man who was lost in thought from Mikey's call, which was rather strange; the Haitani was not one to get restless from such a call. Rindo's gaze shifted from the front to the twin's blue orbs, then exclaimed loudly.

─ You want to know what's going on, don't you? Well it's none of your business, so just keep doing what I tell you to do if you want everything to go well with your little brother. ─

That hostile reply told Souya one thing: the Haitani and Mikey were in some big trouble. He didn't even bother to reply to the older man's beaten response, and his gaze was only turned towards the car window. He watched the buildings pass by as he drove along, and he was so deep in thought that by the time he realised it he had reached a new apartment complex.

That building was less spacious than the one he had visited before with the Haitani, which he thought was pretty good for Rindō who had driven him. The two got out of the car to enter that building, which looked friendlier and more accessible than the other one. Although it was daytime, there was no one inside and everything could be heard amidst a silence of emptiness that represented the absence of people.

─ I asked everyone to run, so take your time. ─ Were the red-haired man's instructions to which Souya nodded without further ado.

Compared to last time, Souya now felt more relaxed; there were clothes that were indeed to his tastes and that gave him more confidence. Once again he looked at the prices of the clothes and once again he was surprised at how expensive they were but he would no longer question how worthwhile it was to choose clothes like that, he would just take them to get rid of the Haitani that day.

It wasn't too difficult for him to choose, he took a pair of tight black trousers, a plain white T-shirt and a jacket almost as identical to the one he used to wear with his brother. He also picked out a pair of tennis shoes that he used to wear, which, lucky for him, they carried in that department stores'. Once he was dressed, he came out of the dressing room with all the labels of the clothes in his hands, which he held out to Rindō to pay for and he accepted them without any complaints, looking up and down at the Kawata.

─ I really don't understand how you can be dressed like that. ─ That was the only complaint he had. ─ Shut up and pay up, you idiot. ─ Souya replied as his nose wrinkled in the process.

They made their way to the cashier when suddenly a rumble sounded from outside the building. Both of them stopped at such a sound as they looked around for what had caused it. Rindō's phone began to vibrate so he immediately picked it up and looked to see who it was. When he saw his brother's name, he answered the call without waiting for more.

[ RINDŌ, DON'T LEAVE THE SHOP! 】

It was heard from the speaker of his phone. Souya immediately realised that something bad was going on and the next thing heard was gunshots towards both of them. Rindō quickly reacted by grabbing Souya by the hand to pull him along with him and slipped through the multiple garments.

─ What the hell is going on?! ─ Souya exclaimed as the sounds of several bullets rang out in their surroundings.

It was that Rindō found the exit to the back door; he knew that some car would be waiting there. He continued to pull him, ignoring Kawata's question since his priority at that moment was to get him out safely, but immediately one of the bullets went straight into Rindō's leg, causing him to fall and along with him Souya and a scream of pain came out of him. Souya got up as best he could, going to Rindō to help him up but Rindō pushed him away from himself.

─ GO NOW, I'LL GET HIM OFF! ─ shouted Rindō, who was holding his leg and from his bag he pulled out a gun which he was carrying.

At that moment Souya debated whether to leave or stay, and while he was making that decision, some men entered through the exit to which Rindō and the rest were heading; they were the men of the Haitani, who dragged Souya towards the car, making Souya want to free himself to go after Rindō, but no matter how hard he tried, he was thrown into the car and it started up at full speed.

A volley of bullets came at the car, but fortunately for Kawata it was armoured; he expected nothing less from the Roppongi people. The car sped out of the area as fast as it could, losing sight of the pursuers.

It was when there was no more sound of bullets that Souya had the courage to look back, but there was nothing and no one following them. His nerves were on edge at such an act to which he could do nothing. Even if the Haitani didn't fall from his grace, he felt useless and frustrated at not being able to take him away with him. Souya decided to tell the driver to take him near Hakkai's address, which he obeyed.

Once he was there, he went out without further ado and already in the street, taking into account his appearance, he looked at his hands and some of his clothes: they were stained with blood, but it wasn't his, it was Rindō's blood. Disturbed by this, he headed towards Mitsuya's sewing shop, which was only a block away. He spotted the door of the place he entered unannounced.

Mitsuya was explaining some measurements to Hakkai when the sound of the door caught his attention. They both found Souya in a state of shock, with a blank stare and bloodstained hands, stretched out as if unwilling to touch them. This alerted both of them, who left their work to go to Souya.

─ What the hell happened to you? Souya? ─ asked Hakkai who examined him, and all Souya could do was hug him.
