Endings are another important part of your writing. They help you come to a conclusion, even if you end on a cliffhanger. But if the book is not ended properly it will ruin the experience for the reader.
Write the desired outcome with a sacrifice
Write a vision of what "could have been" in an alternate story line where the main character made a different choice
Tie up loose ends and write a resolution quickly after the climax
