Aomine had been following the two lovebirds ever since they left Kanata's house. When the brunette had texted him out of the blue, he of course felt like he had been given another chance. But then, his heart had dropped when all of the questions were about Momoi, and not once had the words I Forgive You come onto his screen.
A little more festering, and the ace was pissed. Not at Kanata, oh absolutely not, no. He was livid that Momoi had become so important to the brunette that she was all he could talk about. So, how could he fix that?
By getting rid of her, of course. Survival of the fittest was what it was all about at their school, in their lives, in his life. Momoi knew that as well, which is why she had texted to brag the second her and Kanata had confessed to each other. She wanted him to know that she had won the first battle, the battle of hearts.
But now, she was at a disadvantage, considering the next and most decisive battle would be that of the physical body. Oh, Aomine felt his lips pull up in an unhindered sadistic grin, I'll kill her.
That grin was wiped off his face as Momoi invited Kanata inside. He wouldn't be able to make his move with Kanata inside. He already hated him for forcing himself on him, so he couldn't kill someone right in front of him. He'd have to wait, Aomine decided.
That thought quickly vanished as his ears picked up some very lewd sounds, and then he saw red. Instantly, his switchblade was in his hand and at the ready as he stalked towards the front door. How dare she? How dare he? So doing sexual stuff with her was alright, but doing something as basic as a kiss with him made him run?! Where was the logic? Was he just playing with him because he knew of his feelings?
Oh, Aomine's eyes glinted, he'd make sure to teach that brat a lesson as he gutted that bitch.
However, just before his free hand could touch the doorknob to rip it off, a body got in his way. Practically growling, Aomine stepped back as Akashi blocked a knife strike to his neck. "Get out of my way," The ace demanded, his voice harsh as he swung again. The young master parried with a goddamn sword, and it was then that Aomine realized he was being let off easy for some reason, since there's no way Akashi couldn't end him with one of those.
"No," Akashi rejected, holding his sword carefully as he and his teammate stared one another down. "I understand you're angry," He said slowly. "But going in there and doing anything of what you're thinking right now would blow the plan to bits, so I will ask you once," His eyes hardened as his sword whipped out, now resting against the ace's neck. "Calm down, and go home."
Aomine wanted to protest. He did. He wanted to bust past Akashi and go finish Momoi off and run away with Kanata in his arms. The thing was, he couldn't picture Akashi letting him do that. He'd be the one being finished off if he defied him. Even if his grip tightened on his knife, he could see in his captain's eyes that Akashi would not hesitate to slice off his head.
So instead, with his forcefully cooled off head, the ace sighed and dropped his knife. "Fine, whatever," He flicked the sword away from him with a tut, and then he was pulling his hood over his head and walking away. Pausing at the sidewalk, Aomine glanced back at his captain. "The plan is still on, right?"
"Ha," The moonlight made Akashi's smirking face much more terrifying than it usually would have been. "Of course, Daiki."

The next morning, Momoi woke up earlier than Kanata, surprisingly. What she found was that they were still, in fact, cuddling, except for the fact that they had somehow stripped during the night. For a split second, she felt self conscious, but then she remembered that it was Kanata, the person she loved, so it didn't matter if he saw her naked or not.
So, she snuggled back into him and closed her eyes, savoring the feeling of being in his embrace. She stayed that way until she felt the boy rouse, so she opened her eyes and smiled at him. "Good morning Akatsuki," She greeted softly. He blinked once, then twice, as if he were surprised that she was there. Then he smiled as well, taking a second to press a kiss to her forehead.
"Morning Momoi," He replied. "Did you sleep alright?"
"Yes," She hummed, cupping his face and pressing her own kiss to the tip of his nose playfully. "You know," She pouted at him. "You can call me Satsuki. Calling me Momoi after last night is just mean~"
"O-oh," Kanata's eyes widened, taken aback by her forwardness. But then he chuckled and nodded. This is the kind of communication that couples should have, he reminded himself. "Okay, I'll do that," He said, then capped it off with a wink since he couldn't not take the opportunity to be the goofball he was. "Satsuki."
She hadn't been expecting a flirty response, so of course the pinkette turned as pink as her hair. "Y-you're too much," She complained as she buried her face in his chest, causing him to laugh and pet her hair. It felt so mundane and natural for both of them to be there, to be having that conversation, that they almost forgot that such things are not exactly natural after just confessing their feelings.
Momoi didn't care because she was too in love to think about the speed of their relationship progress, but Kanata did feel like they might be going a bit fast. It was just a hunch, just a bit of an uncomfortable feeling, but it was there, and that was enough. "Well, I should probably get going," Kanata sweatdropped as he sat up, his lover following suit. "I'm sorry for imposing so suddenly," He bowed as best he could in his current position, causing Momoi to shake her hand and hands vigorously.
"No, no, not at all!" She denied.
"Still," He caught her hands, then pressed his lips to both knuckles as he looked up at her through his lashes. "Next weekend, I'd like to take you out on a proper date, if you'll let me."
"Wha--" Momoi's entire face lit up at the proposition, and then she hugged him. "Yes, of course! I can't wait!"
