Ash sat in the middle of camp as the sun rose above the steep and tall mountain his camp was situated at the bottom of. "BOYS!" His sharp and deep voice echoing through the dens positioned under trees and in hillsides. Morion had already been awake, just waiting for Ash to summon him and his brother, who was still loudly snoring in the corner of the surprisingly wide nursery. He sighed and thwacked Red's head with a paw, "Red!" Morion snapped, "Get up! Father wants us for training."

Red grumbled and groaned, pushing his little kit body up. "Oh, do we have to?" He whined sleepily. Morion simply rolled his eyes, grabbing Red's arm and pulling him out of the den and to where their father sat tall, lifting his head up as his cold eyes fixed on the boys. "Well, finally." Ash scoffed, looking up for a moment to notice Rabbit, who was also looking at him. He quickly turned his attention away, standing up and beginning to head into the forest, expecting Morion and Red to follow, which they did.

Soon enough, all three arrived in a massive clearing. Trees formed a big circle where the sun could shine, making the pure green grass shine and glisten. However, both kit boys shivered at the sight of it, this place wasn't as peaceful as it looked.

"Father?" Red chirped, a little cautious. "Do we have to train? I just wanna go play with the other kits." Ash immediately snarled, swiping a paw at Red's face before giving an aggressive, cold glare at him and Morion. "Boys, the only thing you were brought into this world for was to be what?" He frustratedly asked, annoyance riddled in his voice. "Ruthless." Morion replied, "Ruthless killers, ready to do whatever it takes to survive." Morion added. Red chimed in soon saying, "Soldiers, your soldiers." He fearfully said, backing up just a little. Ash chuckled, "Good, you two know what to do." He said, "Positions. Now."

Red and Morion sighed in unison before heading to opposite parts of the clearing. They turned to face each other, each looking like they were gonna rip the other apart.

"Begin." Ash commanded. Almost immediately, Red pounced, Morion had expected this, so he simply leaped out of the way. He quickly turned back and pinned his elder brother down with surprising strength and accuracy.

Red yowled, shoving Morion off before barreling into him, trying to bite at his neck. But Morion rammed his claws into Red's side, then tossed him away. Red was now bleeding profusely from his wound, but that didn't stop him from trying to attack Morion further, knowing what would happen if he lost. Perhaps it was the fact that Morion was quick, or maybe because he was too injured, but Red quickly lost to his little brother, being pinned by him in a matter of seconds.

Ash rolled his eyes, stepping forward and nudging Morion off of Red with a light swipe of his paw. He glared down at his eldest son, a light growl escaping his throat. "This, soldier, is why you're not meant to lead a camp." He scowled, "You're lucky I'm even letting you serve second-in-command to your brother."

Morion didn't do anything to try and help Red as Ash slapped him across the face with his claws, leaving a brutal gash behind. Red gave a quick painful yell, but it slowed into a whimper soon enough.

"Make one more mistake like that, and I'll leave you out here alone for the next three weeks." Ash snarled, "Come with me back home, we'll get cleaned up. Morion," Ash turned to his youngest, "You know the drill, don't come back near the camp for the next six days. I see you once, you'll be treated like an outsider and killed, understand?" Morion nodded, stiffening his stance and quickly becoming the soldier-like figure Ash wanted him to be. "Yes, Sir." Morion replied. Ash roughly grabbed Red by the scruff, taking him back to camp.

Rabbit had been speaking with Lake, a female light gray kit friend of hers. "Don't get attached to Morion, he's a cold jerk!" Rabbit mewed, but Lake simply nodded dismissively. Rabbit sighed, turning her head over to the entrance of camp, a narrow passageway leading up over a hill. She noticed her father returning with a severely injured Red, of course, none of this was anything shocking, but she still felt worried either way.

"What happened to him!?" Fade screeched, bolting to her mate and son. She'd seen this happen a hundred times before, but the questions never stopped. "And where's Morion!?" She added with a snarl. Ash glared at her emotionlessly, unbothered. "Red pitifully lost in training." He finally gave an answer. "As for Morion, he's currently undergoing a winner's trial. Seeing how long he can survive alone out there." He explained everything calmly, which only seemed to make Fade's blood boil more. "YOU LEFT HIM ALONE!?" She screamed, "ARE YOU CRAZY!?"

Meanwhile, Rabbit had sneakily grabbed Red and gently brought him to the group's medicine den where she and the med cat, Apple, began tending to an overly sassy and stubborn Red.

Ash growled, dragging Fade into their den. "You knew exactly what your kids would be used for when you agreed to be my mate, which need I remind you, you didn't have to do." He hissed, keeping his voice quiet and stern.

"I did it because I thought we could change the world for the better with them." Fade replied with a strong growl, though being quiet most of the time. "But no, you've been raising them to become brutal killers. You're not trying to help the world, you're trying to rule it! And worse, you're raising your own sons to be pawns in your fight! They're becoming murderers! I saw what you made them do a few days ago. I know you wanted to punish Lake's parents, but making Morion and Red kill them? They actually did it because they trust you as their father!"

"With those boys I can rule this pathetic little Earth and more. They aren't pawns, they're KINGS. Besides, to make a good soldier, you need to get blood on your paws, rack up a few kills. It's better to have done it early on, Trust me." Ash chuckled evilly, "Your only job is to sit still, be quiet, and obey the orders I give. That's your purpose. Know your place here, Fade, I can have you and Rabbit killed whenever I want." He snarled before exiting the den, leaving Fade to sigh in defeat.
