Not all stories have happy endings

At the hospital

After Rowan was sent to the hospital, she was given treatment for her illness. After that, she was knocked out.

The sounds of the machines woke her up, also a soft cry that had come from the side of her bed. Rowan looked around in wonder before looking down at the person. The person was Thomas.

"What, happened?" Rowan muttered. Thomas' head perked up where he heard Rowan's soft voice. He looked around before getting up and laying down next to her. "Something with you're leukemia. They said it was getting worse." Thomas whispered kissing Rowan's head.

She crawled into his arms and closed her eyes again. "I'm so sorry. I'm a horrible person." Thomas said softly staring down at her. Rowan shook her head. "You're not a bad person! You're an amazing person Thomas. And I love that. I love you."

Thomas smiled for the first time in about two hours. "I love you to." He whispered before pressing a soft kiss on her lips.

The sound of noise came from outside, and Rowan's father entered the room. They shared a chorus of "oh my goodness! Are you alright? Awe! What happened? Are you feeling okay?"

Rowan didn't know what to answer but instead she just closed her eyes, putting her head comfortably in Thomas' chest holding him close to her.

The doctor walked into the room and began checking everything. "Alright, I'm afraid we have some bad news." He exclaimed.

Everyone in the room went dead silent. "Rowan's leukemia is far worse then we've ever seen. She won't get the proper treatment here to get better. We have to send her back to Canada." He explained.

"No!" Thomas shouted making everyone look at him. "No! You can't! She just got back home, i won't let her leave again! There has to be something you can do! Just she can't leave!"

The doctor only nodded before walking out. How could Thomas be so selfish?
