Cecilia Dallsay Walters is an American-Filipino singer-songwriter. She was born and raised in Seattle, Washington D.C.. Cecilia is a self-taught guitarist and began to play guitar when she was about eleven years old and immediately fell in love with it. She is known for her dreamy-ethereal vocals, lo-fi aesthetic of her bedroom recordings, slower tempos, angelic harmonies, psychedelic experimentation, depressive lyricism and melancholic acoustic guitar melodies. Her musical influences are Elliott Smith, Mazzy Star, Cat Power, Daniel Johnston, Neutral Milk Hotel, Liz Phair, Red House Painters, Slowdive, Cocteau Twins, Galaxie 500, Broadcast, Iron & Wine, The Microphones, Sufjan Stevens, Bon Iver, Tiny Vipers and Mirah. She settled her solo music career when she was about 17 years old and released music independently through both of her BandCamp and YouTube pages. Cecilia was also well-known around the Seattle underground folk scene and might be playing shows and do open mics around music clubs, pubs, venues, coffee shops, basement shows. Around 2012, Cecilia signed to Sub Pop Records. Besides from being a talented guitarist, she's also good at playing the piano and learn it since she was seven.
