Reunited.

Ruby's POV

It's been 6 years since the end of the world, well not really the end of world. Let's just say that people who die or get bitten by a zombie turns into one. My name is Ruby Maria Jones and I'm the only one in my whole family that survived this apocalypse. I'm right now out looking for some food as I'm staying at a bunker that my family had for crazy stuff, it can hold a whole family.

As I was walking around fidgeting with my necklace that my best friend got me before he'd moved drops on the floor,   I grab it fast looking at it as I softly cry to myself looking at it as it's a heart with our names on it. Carmelo and Ruby. I softly brush my thumb over the names then  puts my necklace back on as I turn around and sees a couple of zombies lurking around the store I go and hide as I look up to see someone in all black and a mask kill them with a sword.

I grab my gun and points it at them ." Okay put your bag down now and toss it to me." I look at them as he tilts his head then takes his mask off." Ruby?" He whispers as I drop my gun and looks at him." Carmelo?" I smile and runs to him hugging him tightly.

" oh my god your alive." I whisper and looks at him as I see that he's grown a beard and his hair got longer." Yeah, you are too." He smiles whispering to me as we put our heads together. After a while I take him to my bunker that has power and water as he drops his stuff on the floor.

" So what happened after everything went to shit?" He looks at me as we sit on the couch as I sigh softly." It's awful my whole family died, and for the last 6 years I though you were dead." I tear up a bit as he hugs me close.

" I'm sorry you had to go through that alone ." I smile as he hugs me close after a while I smile and pulls back as I look at him." You need a shower and a shave." He chuckles and nods." Mind showing me to the bathroom?" I nod as we head to the shower.

" Thanks." I nod as I leave after giving him everything he needs. I smile and walks away happy to have my best friend back. I stop walking as I just realized I'm in love with him.

Carmelo's POV

I smile as Ruby gave me stuff so I can take a shower. I'm just happy that Ruby is alive and well, my life has been awful, after I'm done here I'm leaving , she doesn't deserve me to be here I killed people for food and shelter. I'm a monster. I sigh as I take off my clothes and walks into the shower turning it on letting the hot water hit me as I closed my eyes.

After a while I get out of the shower and looks into the mirror as I grab the razor and shaving cream as I shave off my beard, I look at my hair and smiles combing it back. I sigh looking at myself seeing flashes of people I had to kill, yeah they where all shit bags but I still killed them.

After a while of thinking Ruby walks in as I'm just in some boxers and a shirt." You okay ?" I nod at what she said." Yeah it's just." I sigh deeply." I need to leave I killed people Ruby.." she stops me by just hugging me close." It's okay so did I, it's what we do to survive." She whispers softly gliding her fingers in my hair." You need a hair cut Melo."

I laugh a bit and nods." I do don't I." I smile then looks into her eyes smiling as I see her necklace as I gently rub her cheek." You still have it." I smile and takes mines out as it's dirty.

She smiles." Come on." She sits me down as she cuts my hair making shorter. I smile softly as she sits in my lap." Hey." I whisper softly while she blushes I lean in and softly kisses her while holding her close to me.

I smile softly as she kisses me back." I love you Carmelo." I smile and picks her up as we make out on her bed. After a while things got heated as I pull back a bit taking my shirt off.

After a while me and Ruby are now cuddling under the covers smiling as our clothes are scattered on the floor." God forgot how good that felt." We both laugh a bit as we kiss." Same remember that time after prom we decided to see how it felt." I nod and laugh a bit." Yeah I missed how things where."

She nods and tears up a bit kissing me as we cuddle." I thought you died, I tried to find you but I gave up after the 4th year." I whisper to her as she nods and cries hugging me close." I thought the same thing, I'm just glad we're back with each other." I nod at what she said and kisses her gently rubbing her cheeks." I love you so much Ruby." I smiled as she kisses me back." I love you so much more Carmelo."

After a while of cuddling we both fell asleep in each other's arms. As the years went one we found more and more survivors some bad some good but we found a community of people that became family to us. It was wonderful even better when they found a cure to end the virus and kill all of the undead.
