Later in San Francisco, Sonic is driving Rachel's beat-up car very dangerously through the streets of San Francisco.

"Coming through!" Sonic said. "Whoa, now, this is my turn, and I go around him! Sorry! And, perfect park!"

He parks lopsidedly at the curb.

"What are you, crazy?!" A driver shouted.

Tom, Maddie, and Paige exit the car.

"Is there anything you didn't hit?" Tom asked.

"Or break?" Paige added, as she rubbed her head.

"Why did we let the alien drive?" Maddie asked.

"Hey, I got us here." Sonic smirked. "And please, five stars."

Sonic, Tom, Paige, and Maddie stare out at the towering Transamerica building.

"So, this is it?" Sonic asked.

"Yep." Paige replied.

"That's it." Tom nodded. "That's your pyramid."

"Wow, look at that thing!" Sonic said.

"What happens now?" Maddie asked.

As soon as Maddie finishes her question, Sonic speeds away.

"Oh!" Maddie said. "He's... gone."

"He tends to do that." Paige informed.

"Yep." Tom agreed.

Sonic comes back to the family.

"No good." Sonic said. "You need a special key to get to the roof."

"And how do we get that?" Paige asked.

"Time for me to abuse the power entrusted to me." Tom smiled.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Inside the Transamerica reception, Tom, Maddie, and Paige walk to the reception desk, with Tom carrying Sonic in a duffle bag. The family nod at each other and they approach the front desk.

"We got a jumper on the roof." Tom informed. "Gotta get up there fast or we're gonna have a human pancake on our hands."

He shows his badge.

"You came all the way from Montana." The receptionist said.

"Yeah. That's how serious it is." Tom detailed.

There's a prolonged pause as everyone looks at each other until the receptionist hands Tom the key.

"Okay." The receptionist agreed as Tom takes the key.

"You just saved a life." Tom commented.

Tom, Maddie, and Paige wait for the elevator to be taken to the roof of the building. As they wait, a businessman and a businesswoman join them, also waiting.

"How much longer?" Sonic asked. "I can't breathe in here! Hello? Anybody there?"

"Do you have your child in that bag?" The businesswoman asked.

"No." Paige replied

"No. I mean, yes, it's a child, but it's not mine." Tom explained.

"It's not your child?" The businessman asked.

"It's actually a practice dummy for police training." Paige informed. "It talks and complains, you know automated voices."

"Relax. I'm a cop, okay?" Tom assured. "Plus, he likes it in there, don't you, buddy?"

Tom shakes the bag a little.

"Why would I like it in here?" Sonic questioned. "This is worse than the dog cage you had me in earlier!"
