Chapter 9

(Carrie's pov)

"Jeff,what does this have to do with my training?"

We stood on the dock far out from the mansion and I was facing the water under me.

"Carrie,whatever situation you're in you have to be ready for it.Now get in the water."

I looked down to the water again,sure I'm not afraid of a little water but why do I have this weird feeling in my gut?

"Are you sure about this Jeff?"

"Yes Carrie.Nothing bad is going to happen to you.I'm right here if you need me."

I took a deep breath and nodded and jumped into the water.I stuck my head out of the water to see Jeff sitting down.

"Okay so now what?"

"I'm going to see how long you could go under water.When your in a situation like this,you have to think on your feet.The first thing you should think is a place to hide without getting caught.And being underwater is a good example.Now go down."

I nodded and dove down.Now I gotta admit,the water is pretty calming.I dove deeper until I felt the ground and sat down.Everything was going fine...until flashes started popping up.For some reason,I saw flashes from the past.I saw Sue,Chris,The girls...Prom night.I could hear them taunting me.I saw myself going crazy and killing everyone in sight.The past me was staring right at me.But more...Demonic.It had glowing eyes and a darker tone of skin.Electricity was coming out of its finger tips and it screeched.I screamed and my lungs was begging for air so I reached up to the surface and I was gasping for air.

"Carrie are you okay!?" Jeff said behind me.

I turned to face him and I went up the small latter,still gasping air and coughing up water.

"How long...Was I down?"

"Eight minutes."

"Really?"

"Yeah,are you okay?"

Maybe I should tell him what I saw,but then again I shouldn't...Maybe I was just seeing things.

"Yeah...Just cold."

He got out a towel and wrapped it around me.

"Let's head back,you need to dry off."

I nodded and we headed back.Who knows what happened when we were gone?
