The sun crept up over New York city. It had been a long night patrol for the city's guardian, and he was heading back to his home to rest up for an hour or two before the day in his other life began...

"Y/N. You in here kiddo?" Nat asked as she knocked on her sons bedroom door. There was no reply. "Must have been another long night."

As Natasha went to walk away to kill time, she heard a thud from the room, Natasha opened the door to see Y/N stood in his underwear while he was in the middle of getting changed. Immediately Natasha backed out of the room and waited for Y/N to answer the door.

"Note to self Natasha, never enter your teenage sons room without asking if he's clothed." Natasha reprimanded herself as the door opened.

"Hey Mom, sorry about that, another late night." Y/N said as Natasha smiled before pulling her now clothed son in for a side hug, she ruffled his hair as they walked into the living room.

"I'm guessing you didn't get anything to sleep." Natasha assumed as Y/N hummed affirmatively. "Make sure you get some after breakfast. You've got time to kill today, half day at school and all that stuff."

"I forgot about that to be honest." Y/N said rubbing the back of his neck.

"I noticed." Nat said with a smirk as she cut some fruit up and put it into two bowls. "Here, have this then get some sleep."

"Thanks Mom." Y/N said with a smile. As he was eating his food Y/N heard footsteps approach over his shoulder, he turned to see Bruce.

"Hey Bruce." Nat said as she turned and smiled at him, then she remembered something. "Oh, Y/N, did you do all your homework?"

Y/N just gave a nod.

"Good boy. Now, finish your breakfast and go get some sleep before school starts." Nat said as she smiled at her son. Y/N stood up and headed for his room passing Bruce who ruffled the boys hair as he passed.

Nat watched as her son left the room, she had a proud smile on her face, neither one was aware at of the events that would soon unfold...
