I clutched my wool sweater tighter to me, searching the area for my boyfriend. My jeans were wet and cold, and my socks were sprinkled in the glistening snow. Dead and crumbled leaves crunched angrily under me as I advanced toward a breathing snowman. Pursing my lips I pushed off the head of the snowman, meeting my boyfriend's grinning face. His hair fell to his nose now, some mushy snow mixed in with his dark bangs that must made it look just much cuter.
"Now you hide," I nodded, looking around the snow filled landscape. I made my way to a tree, glancing at him to make sure his eyes were still closed. Pulling myself up the pine tree, I shivered, my teeth chattering. I pulled my sleeves over my hands, climbing higher up the ice glazed branches.
"Ready or not, here I come!!!" He yelled. I peeked through the pines, frowning when they sharply hit my face. He tapped at his chin thoughtfully, raising both of his arms, the snow that padded around the cabin flew up to his shoulders. I smiled at my own cleverness, from at least twenty feet up, and disguised with the forest. He jogged back to the cabin, and I could faintly hear him scream 'Hey, no cheating!' After he closed the door.
I thought about coming down, but I wanted him to find me. I wasn't giving up.

It's been thirty minutes sense I've climbed up here, the soft snow melted in my jeans, my coffee cream sweater was now a pure white. It looked fuzzy from all the snow that speckled. My skin prickled with snowflakes, and it felt like my face was freezing over. I was slowly giving up on him finding me, he peeked his head out the door every other minute. The door slammed open, he was wearing my favorite sweatshirt of his and he half-walked-half-skipped down the steps wiggling his snow shoes lower into the snow. He looked to the trees around the enclosed cabin, he looked to the trees near me. I inwardly smiled when his eyes meet mine, he gasped rushing towards me. The pines suddenly shook, and a bigger gust of wind swirled around me, making me cringe. The wind grew stronger and it blew the branch I was perched on. The hardened ice on the branch creaked and snapped, breaking the branch. I flailed my arms and legs falling out of the tree and to the ground, every branch snapping at me as I made my way down. When I hit the ground it heavily knocked the wind out of me, snow flying up from my landing.
Percy's fuzzy features spun above my face and I suddenly felt like throwing up, but I couldn't breath, so throwing up wouldn't be very smart. I tried breathing after a couple of seconds, to no avail. 'Breath in. Breath out,' I told myself. And that helped, but just barely, it just came out like struggled gasps.
Percy cradled me in his his arms laying his hot chocolate by my face, the steam warming my cheek. And it sent a tingling sensation of warmth through me. But I was too limp to hold on to it sturdily, so Percy helped hold it up. He jogged to the cabin with me in his arms and sat down on the couch. When it got too hot for one cheek to handle I motioned his hand to the other, and then onto my forehead.
He laid little kisses starting on my forehead, trailing down onto my nose, which he in turn, softly bit. I giggled lightly griping at the back of his hair pulling his lips onto mine. I ran my fingers over the nape of his neck, releasing from the kiss.
"Stupid."
"Still smarter than you."
"I know," he gave me a butterfly kiss, rubbing his nose on my own, the kissed each of my eye lids.
"But I'll still have all my toes when I'm older," I stuck my tongue out playfully.
"We don't know that, you're Percy Jackson."
"But I'm also your boyfriend," he sat down next to me, wrapping a blue crocheted blanket over us.
"That means nothing to the laws of frostbite," I lied my head on his broad shoulder, watching him turn on the tv to a Christmas special.
"But it defiantly means something to me," I grinned, finally warmed up, and kissed his collarbone. And we finished the night snuggling and watching old Christmas movies, just enjoying each other's company.
