"I can make up for it though! Go get dressed and meet me in the lobby." Nina directed. Kira had a confused look on her face as she got ready.

Kira got out the elevator only to see Chris standing there. She stood there in shock for a few seconds, but then she came to and ran into Chris's arms.
Before his parents died, Chris and Kira were a thing. They were going strong for almost a year. But after the death, Chris didn't know what do with his life. He was really rough. That's part of the reason him and Nina went their separate ways. Him and Kira too.
"I missed you." Kira said through tears. Chris wiped them.
"I missed you too."
Nina just stood there as the two hugged. She looked around a little bit until she got impatient.
"So, who's hungry?" She broke the awkwardness.
"I am! Let's go."
"I'll drive." Chris offered. Kira looked at him funny. As if he didn't know that he was the only one with a car. "Oh, right." he chucked.
They walked to his car. Chris and Nina sat in the front, while Kira was in the back.
"Where are we going?" Nina asked.
"Well, what time is it?"
"10:15."
"Okay, McDonalds stops serving breakfast in fifteen minutes, I'll go there."
Both girls agreed and the rest of the car ride was silent.
-at McDonalds-
Kira and Nina sat at a table talking, waiting for Chris to come back with the food.
"We haven't seen him for a year and he takes us to McDonalds." Kira laughs.
"I know. I was thinking the same thing." Nina laughed back. "But he was really happy to see you. Even more than me."
Kira tried to hide a smile. Chris came and sat next to her. She turned her head the other way so he didn't see her smiling.
"What'd I miss?"
"Nothing. Pass me a napkin."

After they ate, they all went to the hotel. It was almost 11:00.
"It's still early. Lets go do something?" Chris asked.
"The beach is only a half hour away, right?" Nina asked him.
"Yeah, you guys wanna go there?"
"Sure, let me just get my stuff ready." Kira answered. She went to go look for her bathing suit, Nina did the same.
"I'm gonna go wait down in the lobby."
He sat and waited for a whole twenty minutes, but he wasn't surprised. When the girls came down, he stood up and stretched.
"I'm gonna stop by at my apartment to pick up my roommate and my bathing suit." Chris said as they walked out to his car.
"Who's your roommate?" asked Kira.
"You guys don't know him. He moved here a few months ago from New York. His name is Seth."
"Oh okay. Nina let me sit in the front this time."
Chris chuckled and started to car.
"What's funny?" Kira had an embarrassed look on her face.
"Nothing." he smirked.
"Oh, just drive!" they shared a laugh.
"Can you guys just love each other again?" Nina asked.
Kira looked down at her hands and started messing with them. She was remembering the time when Chris started acting different.
He looked over to her, knowing what she was thinking about, and let out a deep sigh. It was quiet for a while until they got to his apartment and he texted his roommate to come.
Seth came, hopped in the back seat, and gave Chris his bathing suit.
"Seth this is my sister, Nina, and my.. ex, Kira."
"Hey." He smiled and waved to both of them. Then they were on their way to the beach. Again, it was silent for the most part. Every now and then, somebody would say something to break the silence.
"Finally, we're here!"
