Chapter 25

VICTORIA'S POV

I groan at the annoying sound of something beeping in my head and try to open my eyes immediately freaking out when nothing happens, and I don't freak out much.....I mean other than the fact that I'm blind there's no other perfect explanation for me to not be able to open my eyes right?? I try again and nothing happens AGAIN but this time they weren't as heavy as before which led me to think this is a nightmare that I'll be waking up from very soon, I keep on trying to open them the weight lessening each time until they finally snap open but quickly shut them close though, blinded by the bright lights and sit up before slowly opening them again, I look around the room confused....by the smell of dying people, chemical smell and horrible taste in interior I can tell I'm in the hospital but how did I get here and when??

My head snaps in the door's direction as it opens, a man dressed in a white coat walks in followed by a girl, must be a nurse "Morning I'm Dr Phillips, how are you feeling??"

"Just a little pain here and there, otherwise I'm fine"

"Oh of course, you'll be given painkillers for that....can you tell me your name please??" He says checking my vitals

"M..my name??"

"Yes...your name" he looks up from his file with a frown

"I..I.." I stutter scrambling my brain for my name

"Victoria...Victoria Black" a man says walking in

"Excuse me, who are you??" Dr Phillips asks

"Joseph...I'm her bodygaurd, her husband sent me, how is she and the babies??" I frown looking down at my stomach as the doctor smiles and shakes Joseph's hand

I'm married‽‽ and pregnant??

"The babies are okay and healthy" my bodygaurd lets out a sigh of relief before approaching my bed

"Thank God you are okay" he says with a smile, I smile back still confused

"I'll leave you two alone, nurse inform her family that she's regained her consciousness"

"Um there's no need doctor, I'll let them know.....when can I take her home??"

"Um we still need to check on her and the babies just to be sure they're okay but I'll say two days"

"Can't all the check ups be done at home?? I don't think my boss will ap...."

"Joseph it's okay, it'll only take two days" I tell him holding his hand, his name sounds really strange in my mouth not that familiar like it should be since he's my bodygaurd

"Trust me your husband won't like that" he says still staring at the doctor

"Sir I understand but she just woke up and is showing signs of amnesia, we need to be sure...."

"Our family doctor can do all the necessary check ups just bring her discharge papers" Joseph suddenly growls, I frown at his outburst and move away from him, I'm his boss's wife shouldn't my health come first

"I'm sorry Queen.." his voice immediately softens when he notices "...It's just your husband is not a very patient man and I just want you to be save"

"Okay...we'll go home" I say and nod at the nurse to remove the needles from my hand before leaving with the doctor, He smiles.

"I'll ask David to bring you clothes then" he says taking out his phone and types something, I bring my hand down to my stomach and feel the tiny baby bump

"He'll be here soon" he says helping me get down the bed

"How long have I been here??"

"A month...a very long month, my boss was not very happy"
