I have a question about Myra

What is it?

Can I see her?
I know I've been absent in her life until now
but Jen made me see the situation in a
different light, and how it may look to Myra
in the future, especially if I have more kids

So, your new girlfriend told you something
and all of a sudden you want in her life,
and to be recognised as her father. Is that
because I'm now dating Remus? You don't
want Myra thinking he's her father.

Remus has nothing to do with it. I'm glad
he gets to experience parenthood without
having to worry about whether he's
passed down being a werewolf to his child.

Then why? Because I don't understand

Myra is a great child and I know that from
when we've kept an eye on her for you and
I want to get to know her better, while also
being there for her as I should have been
from the beginning.
I know that she has Remus now but I don't
want her to be confused when she's older
about why I'm not in her life, I know what
it's like to have parents who aren't there for
you, even if I had it in a slightly different
situation.

Sirius, I understand all that but why is it
now that you all of an sudden want to be
in her life?

Jen asked me the other week about why
I'm not in her life and it got me thinking
because I never have been and it never
occured to me why. When she was first
born I could have put it down to the fact
that I still lived with those idiot blood
fanatics who would have done anything
to hurt me but now I've left and they
have nothing to do with my life. I guess
I have just come to the realisation that
I do genuinely want to be there for Myra.

Do you want to have a day with her
during the next Hogsmead weekend?

Yes, that would be great!

Oh, that was nothing
I just prompted him, he did the rest himself

Yeah, but that prompt as what he
needed.
You two really are suited to eachother
much better than we were.

Don't beat yourself up about that, you're
perfect for Remus. I asked him out once,
but he turned me down. I beat myself up
about it for years until Sirius found out
and told me it wasn't because of me, it was
because of how Remus viewed himself.
I'm now so glad he did turn me down
because you two really are made for
eachother.
