We Are Not The Same

"Where am I.....?" whispered Siyeon.

She looked around. The place was beautiful.

It was almost every girl's dream house. But it seemed kind of childish.

She wasn't sure of what exactly made that place childish but it had this different aura....

Despite the childish aura, the place looked like heaven.

A beautiful, happy place......

The sunshine coming in through the windows, the sound of the birds chirping....

Siyeon then felt another person's presence there.

She turned around and came face-to-face with a frowning girl.

A twelve-year-old girl.... with magenta locks and beautiful turquoise eyes.....

"Penelope.....?" whispered Siyeon in shock.

That was when Siyeon looked down at herself and saw that she was back in her own body. Her Korean self. Right before she isekaid as Penelope. 

"Welcome to heaven... Though you're not here to stay....." said Penelope slightly annoyed.

Even though she was a child, she had a strong aura around her that made her seem older.

Siyeon was on guard.

"...hello.... I'm Siye-"

She was cut off by Penelope who huffed.

"I know who you are.... You're one of those people who hurt me!"

Siyeon was shocked! All she wanted was for Penelope to have a happy ending!

"Penelope. I wanted to help you! That's all I wanted!"

Siyeon tried to coax her gently but Penelope was not buying any of it.

"Liar!"

Penelope took a deep breath in and changed the subject.

"As I was saying. This is heaven. You must be wondering why I am a child right now...."

She frowned.

"In heaven, you take the form of the age when you were last happy..... That's why you are the same.... And I'm like this....."

Siyeon's eyes widened. But she regained her composure. 

Last happy? Penelope.... was never happy in the duchy...... Of course I knew this but.... its still unsettling.....

"I see.... That does make sense... I was really happy before I became you, when I escaped from tha-"

Penelope snapped. 

"You never became me....! We are not the same! I am Penelope! Not you! You're Siyeon! I will never become a cold hearted person like you! Don't you dare think we're the same!"

Now Siyeon was angry.

"I can see why no one liked you.... I tried to help you.... but here you are.... yelling at me..."

"See! I told you! You are just like them! Judging me without even knowing my reasons!"

Siyeon flinched.

"I was the one who died THOUSANDS OF TIMES! And the one who receives their apologies and sweet words is YOU!"

"And you went ahead and FELL IN LOVE with that damn Crown Prince! The same Crown Prince who KILLED me hundreds of times!"
