"yo jah come and look at this you the smart one here" coolie waved me over. though i was comfortable with them all, i still stood alone

i overheard them got into the subject of math because they wanted to test each other as we stood in the parking lot of the water park

they all seemed to be fine up until i got called, making me wonder what problem is so hard. i looked over at Dahlia within the circle and blushed at her, then took my attention onto the problem they pulled upon the screen

as i did the math in the mind, i uh saw everyone watching me. i wish i could've done this without all the attention on me

i looked up "simplified its 12m-3"

everyone then looked dumbfounded "its very simple, why are you all looking that way" i asked them "vruh, where the letter come from?" ski asked

i looked back at the phone, "here, its a variable basic algebra of course" i pointed at the letter on the problem

"you know what fuck that, we supposed to be having fun right now" coolie told everyone. they all nodded and im guessing that was a motion for everyone to move

"oh we are going? i didnt know" i muttered. the walk was filled with chatter and curse words. they got to the front and ski gave the tickets to the desk lady

i dont know what she's called

"yo x go with dah, she has to change" weef asked me. Dahlia side eyed him, rolling her eyes. she grabbed my wrist and pulled me towards the restroom

"you cant come in here" she stopped me "i know" i told her. she nodded, kissing my cheek before going inside. i soon started playing with my glasses, to spare time

though my interest was taken into three females who suddenly walked up to me. they had big smiles which kinda creeped me out.

i just kept quiet looking at the three, hoping they would notice how uncomfortable i were.

"hey my homegirl wanna talk to you, she thinks you are cute" the girl pointed. i looked and saw the girl, her hair was a curly brownish color

she was pretty but not who i wanted

"go on girl talk" her friend pushed her to me. she gave a weak smile before speaking "hey"

"hello"

"i saw you and i thought you were cute, so my friends forced me over here" she spoke. i nodded "so do you like have a girlfriend" she asked

hm, i dont have a girlfriend but i do wanna stay loyal to dahlia. what should i say? thinking i felt a tap on my shoulder, making me look at a angry dahlia

"actually i cant get mad, we aren't together X" she scoffed before moving through me and the three girls standing around looking

i sighed then looked "im sorry, thats my girlfriend i have to talk to her" i said "but" i cut the girl off "im sorry" i went after Dahlia

i lost her in seconds to the crowd of people every where. i tried looking to find her, but it was no help. i pushed through the people making sure to apologize for touching them

"Dahlia?" i looked around. i then turned to see her hugging Isaiah against the wall crying. oh no, i made her cry?

No no no

"izzy i was starting to like him, how could he" she asked him. he only patted her back, listening to her rant about me

i then walked over to talk things out

"Dahlia" i got cut off "look man, i dont think now is a good time" he told me. i adjusted my glasses nodding. walking away, i messed with my dreads

i messed up my chance with her, i was so close

"vro what's happening" ski walked over, wringing out his Durag that got wet. "i messed up ski, i dont know what to do!" i panicked

"calm down, what did you do, why is dah crying?" he looked at me and then her still hugging Isaiah. "a girl complimented me and her friends was trying to tell her to ask me out" i said

"i didnt say anything to them, but Dahlia thought other wise" i added taking off my glasses

he only nodded, "just stay with us for the rest of the day, try to enjoy it here a little before we go" i nodded

"seh comon, you cant feel guilty of something you didn't do" my mom told me. i shrugged "she said she liked me, i messed up" i looked down

"messed up how? by doing nothing?" she got up with her keys "come with me" she told me

we walked to the car as i finished our old convo "idk ma i just feel bad, i really like her" i told her

"okay seh, but don't beat yourself up if you didn't do anything!" she cranked the car up "try to talk to her, she will probably hear you out" she added

i nodded, ill try to talk to her. it was gonna be hard but ill take the risk. we were just riding around, and i enjoyed every minute of it

i can't believe im telling my ma about my girl problems. i really love my mom though, id kill for her any day.

"where are we going?" i questioned "we are just riding around x, we could use this time to clear our minds you know?" she said

"and pick up food after"

"okay" i looked from the passenger seat window. my mind really couldn't think of anything else, but her. i hope she hears me out

i cut the radio up a little, trying to distract myself a little from thinking. though my ma said i did nothing i just cant seem to believe it.

i've had to do something, i made her cry

"i just feel so bad" i said lowly, rubbing my dreads. "seh love, listen to me...by what you said you did nothing wrong" she glanced at me while driving

i leaned towards the window, looking at the street lights as they shined through the city. what can i do? what should i do? to get my mind off her for now

"ma, can i get another tattoo" i blurted "X" i cut her off "it wont be related to the girl ma, i got an idea" i smiled a little

she sighed "you want to now?" and i nodded "only if you are okay with it, we can always do it later"

"alright ill take you, only cause you don't run out with them" she said

"no no, its because i'm your favorite" i smirked

"you are my only child boy"
