The towel hung over Cole's shoulders while the boy hastily arranged his wet hair. The brush tangled a few times at some persistent knots in his nape, and he pulled it down hard, yanking a few hairs and hissing at the pain. He shrugged and returned the tool to the drawer, too lazy to fix his hair with any more proper strokes. It would get tangled again later when it was dry, so why bother?

Cole turned off the bathroom light and crossed the hallway toward his room to get dressed. An upbeat melody sounded in the distance, sung by a merry voice. He stopped by the kitchen door and observed Jay hopping around while making breakfast. His phone was resting on the countertop, blasting out the song that accompanied Jay's lyrics. The boy's hips swayed side to side and his free hand moved in the air; sometimes making weird gestures, and others snapping his fingers to punctuate a part of the melody that, Cole guessed, must have been Jay's favorite.

The distracted boy blushed when he turned around and saw Cole standing by the door.

"You seem really jolly today," Cole commented, suppressing a giggle.

Jay rubbed his nape, embarrassed, and tapped on his phone to lower the volume of the music. "Yeah, why wouldn't I be?"

"I don't know, you tell me." Cole's eyes remained on Jay, a loving smile on his face while the other simply stared back at him with a cheerful grin.

Cole walked closer to the stove and peeped while his boyfriend extracted the eggs from the frying pan and placed them on the plates nearby. Cole studied the stripes of bacon laid next to the eggs.

"Is that for me?" He asked, pointing at one plate.

"Duh. Who else would it be for?"

Cole looked at the plate again, then at Jay. "Can't you cook more bacon? That alone won't do much for me."

"What? No way, that's a standard ration."

"Meant for 'standard sized' people. And last time I checked in the mirror, I'm far from 'standard'."

Jay snorted and shook his head, not giving in to Cole's appetite.

"Are you trying to get me on a diet without me noticing, uh?" Cole narrowed his eyes playfully.

"Of course not!" His boyfriend tittered and leaned forward, hand darting to Cole's back and squeezing his derrière over the towel wrapped around his hips. "I like your butt as it is," he whispered.

Shivers rose all over Cole's body and his blood started to gather in his nether regions quick.

"Good morning," Cole's father chanted from the threshold.

The two boys pulled away at the speed of lightning; startled, their hearts almost escaping through their mouths. Cole whipped around and opened the fridge, trying to conceal the semi-erection that threatened to tent the front of his towel.

"H-hey, dad," he stuttered.

Jay greeted the man too, and Lou walked into the kitchen. Face hovering over the plates, he took a deep inhalation.

"Smells delicious."

Jay smiled, just starting to camouflage the blush on his cheeks. "Would you like some?" He offered the man.

"Thank you, son, but I already had something while you both were sleeping."

Lou zeroed on Cole, who was still standing in front of the open fridge, doing nothing but stare at the contents.

"You gonna grab something, or are you just admiring the food, Cole?"

"Uh, no, I..." The boy stared down at himself; the bulge was barely noticeable. Maybe he could pull it off if he didn't fully face his dad. "I'm... gonna go get dressed."
