Starting over is never easy, but with the right people around you and the right mind set, a life started over can be beautiful.
Focusing on your growth as an individual, widening your horizons and your view in life, living for your better self instead of living for others, it's the kind of moving on for the better that Keira exactly needs.
It's the last few days before the semester ends and the last semester before she finally gets to her internship. Keira is very much busy with all her exams coming up, trying to keep up with all the backlogs she has with all the requirements she had to finish.
She and her friends were inside cafés spending their vacant time reviewing for all their upcoming exams.
Finally, the last day of their exam has come and in a few hours, Keira will be free from the stress her acads has brought her.
Keira flips through the last page of her test paper and answered the last few questions. As she shaded the answer to the last question, she took a deep breath, smiled, and stood up to pass her papers.
As she walked towards the professor's table and placed her questionare and answersheet, so did Patrick: his hand bumping on to hers.
Keira looks at his tired face, with the strong smell of cigarette and alcohol. Patrick looked back at her and faintly smiled.
Keira smiled back. After greeting eachother, Patrick went to get his things and immediately left the room as Keira's eyes followed him out.
There was a feeling of worry inside Keira but didn't want to be too nosy with the guy's life. She headed outside the room, her eyes looking for the tall, black haired guy but did not find even his shadow.
She sat down on one of the chairs near their room as she waits for her friends to finish their exam. She tried to make herself busy but her mind won't forget the face she last saw before she left the room.
A few minutes, Gabby sat down beside her as she finished her exam.
"Ah! Finally, the last exam before our internship and we're almost graduating!" Exclaimed Gabby.
Keira smiled at her,
"So, do we celebrate tonight?" Teased Keira."Ofcourse we are!" Gabby excitedly answered. "We're to get wasted tonight!" Gabby said as she laughed.
-----
It's 7PM and Keira is getting ready to leave the house. Their section is set to celebrate their finals tonight and she can't be more excited to be able to party.
She grabs her leather jacket and her car keys and went straight to her car. She was driving to the bar when her phone rang.
"Hello?" Keira answered.
"Where are you already? We're here!" Dianne shouted as the music in the bar was too loud.
"I am on my way!" Keira chuckled. "Be there in a few minutes." She added.
"Alright! Take care and see you!" Dianne replied.
Keira excitedly drove to the bar and in a few minutes, she finally got to the venue. She finds a spot to park and as she walks to enter the bar, she sees Patrick with a girl near the entrance.
She looks at him and waved to greet him. Patrick nodded his head, acknowledging her. She went straight inside and went to the room where her friends are.
The night was long and everyone was having fun. With the drinks and food overflowing, everyone was living the moment.
Keira was sitting on the couch when she noticed Patrick entering the room. It has always been a mystery to her why her own eyes would alwats notice the same man everywhere and anywhere. It was as if her eyes were made to look only for him.
