~3rd POV~

The others walked in seeing Shi sleeping on an also sleeping Mu's chest. Shi woke up when he heard everyone come in and rubbed his eyes. "Has Mutsumi woken up?" Seri asked him. Shi just shook Mu awake in response. "Hey, Shino," Mu said while rubbing his eyes and petting Shi's head. "Mutsumi!" Seri cried as she walked up to him and hugged him. Mu just smiled and lightly hugged her back with one arm and held Shi with the other. Shi just blushed as Mu held him, once Seri let go, Mu pulled Shi on top of him wanting Shi as close to him as possible. They talked for a while longer until the nurse came in and told everyone but Shi they had to leave.

Once everyone left Mu pulled Shi closer to him, at this point Shi was completely on the bed. His head was resting on Mu's chest while Mu's chin was resting on the smaller boy's head. "Hey, Shi, are you awake?" Mu said as he looked at the petite boy on top of him. Shi looked up at Mu sleepily and rubbed his eyes. He groaned to signal to Mu that he was awake and listening. "Can I kiss you?" Mu said quietly with a glowing blush, visible even in the darkroom. Shi turned bright red and slowly nodded, he liked Mutsumi but never expected the older boy to have feelings for him. Mu pulled Shi closer to his face and gently kissed him, so gently it was as if he thought he was going to hurt the smaller boy.

The kiss lasted for about 5 seconds before they pulled away. Shi immediately shoved his head into the crook of Mu's neck trying to hide his growing blush. Mu held him closer and nuzzled his face into Shi's tousled brown hair. With that, they fell asleep holding each other.

The next morning they woke up and Shi remembered he had to tell Mu about his mother. "Hey, Mu...," he quietly said barely loud enough to hear, Mutsumi nodded to show he was listening. Shino climbed off of the taller boy and sat in the chair and asked Mu to sit up. "Y-your, mom... she's missing," he said quietly as tears pricked at his eyes threatening to fall. He walked over to the taller boy and embraced him tightly as if he was scared he was going to disappear. Mu sat there in shock but slowly sobs from him and Shi were filling the room as they held each other. They stayed like that before Mu pulled the smaller boy onto the bed holding him tightly, they stayed like that crying for a couple of hours before falling asleep.

~Three Days Later~

Mu was finally dispatched from the hospital, the doctors and nurses advised he stay out of school for the rest of the week and get rest, it was Wednesday so he was hesitant but eventually agreed. Shi's mom came to pick them up when she got the call from the hospital. Nana and the others salvaged what they could for Mutsumi from his house, but sadly a lot of it was covered in blood. "Oh, I'm so happy you're out, sweety. How're you feeling? Do you want to stop and get food on the way home?-" Shi's mom paused when she saw her son and Mutsumi holding hands. "OH MY GOD! ARE YOU TWO DATING? THAT IS SO CUTE!" She started fangirling like a teenage girl. Shinomiya ran over to his mom to shush her quickly, "Mom, you're embarrassing me!" Mutsumi chuckled and walked over to them. He quietly said, "He and I aren't dating, I hope we will be soon. And I'm feeling well, thank you for asking." She nodded quickly and escorted the two boys to the car after doing the paperwork to get Mu out of the hospital.

As they left the hospital, they heard someone yelling their names, they turned their heads to see Seri and the gang running to them quickly, still in their school uniforms. "Aren't you kids supposed to be in school?" Shino's mom said with a motherly tone. The group of four looked down and nodded, "We had to come to see if the news was true, though!" Seri said, happiness along with worry laced in her voice. They all hugged Mu and went back to school quickly, as the other three hopped into the car and went to Shi's house.

As they turned the corner to Shi's house he started to get nervous, remembering when he left his room was a mess and he hadn't been back to clean it up. Mu pat his head reassuringly though not knowing why the smaller boy seemed nervous. "Don't worry, honey, I cleaned up your room for you," Shinomiya's mom said as if she had read his mind. Shi sighed in relief when he heard these words.

"Shino, I don't care what your room looks like," Mu said in his normal, kind voice. Shi hugged him as they pulled up to the house. When they got out of the car a man came out of the house to greet them, "Hello, I'm Shino's father," The man said with a kind smile, Mu introduced himself to the man when he got up to the house. Shi dragged Mu quickly into the house and they took off their shoes and ran up into the room they would be sharing. "I guess we won't be needing that futon," Shi's mom said with a chuckle. Shi blushed brightly and yelled at his mother as she took the futon out of the room. The dark-haired boy picked up the smaller boy and set him on the bed as he sat down on it as well. Shi and Mu laid down to hopefully get some rest, Mu moved the smaller boy onto his chest so he could play with his hair as he drifted to sleep.

After an hour or so of sleeping, they woke up to the smell of omurice being made. They decided to wait until Shi's mom called for them before they got up. In this time Shi had made up his mind that he will stay home with Mu until he is ready to go back to school, as he doesn't want to see the boy he deeply cares about being alone. The older boy protested heavily but eventually gave up knowing he wasn't going to win.

After they ate dinner they went back up to their room and passed back out while cuddling each other, waiting for what the next day had in store for them.
