He was pacing the floor, his eyes not leaving the white and grey marble floor of the cathedral. She should be out any minute he told himself. Any minute, but as he kept pacing and the clock ticked ticked by he heard no movement.
Until he heard the familiar clack of shoes on marble, he turned expecting to see Cathy but it was not. It was Gray, his face solemn as per usual.
"Where is Cathy?" Danny asked, his voice at a higher pitch than usual.
"We have been over this, Daniel." Danny's brows bunched together. "She is dead, she is not coming back."
"Death does not stick."
