Backstory/au: After the events of the one shot where Zack is wounded, Ray is taken to a hospital, immediately recognized.
Word-count: 170 or so
Synopsis: Ray returns to her frantic state because Zack is being taken away from, again.
"Rachel, would you like to tell us why you went with Isaac Foster?" The therapist asked and Ray kept her head down, her eyes trained on the hospital floor. She kept her hands folded as if she was praying. Why would I go with him? The question ran circles around her mind. She knew the answer of course. Why wouldn't I go with him, should be the real question.
They won't understand, they won't understand the love I feel for him. They think it's fake, forced.
It's repulsive they would have the audacity to think that of someone they've never met. They've never taught him how to read, and seen how is face lights up when someone laughs at his jokes. No one will understand the love I feel for him and that's why they are taking him away from me.
Like they always do....and will continue to do. I have to do something, to make them stop taking him from me.
She got the courage and spoke, her voice hollow and dead. As if it had no life.
"I love him."
