A/N--no offense to people named cole haha

" I have been invited to a party," I announced, handing Andy the piece of paper. 

"Uh oh, I need a name," he says looking at the paper like he wanted to burn it.

" He said his name was Cole," I say shrugging. 

" He says? As in you don't know if his name is actually Cole?" he says looking at me like I'm crazy.

" Well, I don't know maybe. He was definitely checking me out though," I teased.

"Ugh, typical and his name is Cole, but get it I guess," he says giving me a look. 

" Yeah, well I told him I was bringing a plus one. So go get ready we leave in 20," I say standing up and grabbing my phone. 

" Of course you did," he grumbled.

" I don't know about this," Andy says looking at the small dirt path leading into the woods.

"Oh come on it will be fine, the paper says the party is about a 5-minute walk off the dirt trail," I mumbled.

"Fine, but if I step in mud you owe me $120," he says glaring at me.

"Please, we all know you got those for $19 at Walmart," I snorted.

"Yeah, yeah, lead the way princess," he says shaking his head. 

After 5 absolutely horrifying minutes of Andy complaining, we entered the gravel pit. Off to the side, there was a huge bonfire with pallets sitting off to the side. A black jeep was sitting a little ways away from the fire playing music. 

Teenagers with red solo cups and white claws were scattered around the fire and around the jeep. A girl in a red bikini top and black booty shorts walked past Andy checking him out and winking at him.

Andy turns towards me looking absolutely mortified at what just happened. 

"Oh absolutely not. That's icky," he says shaking his head. "She probably has an STD," he whispers to me. I laughed as he grabs my arm and drags me to get a drink. 

" Be careful when getting drinks that are open, like open vodka bottles people can drug those. Also, don't leave your drink unattended, and if you do get a new one. He ranted. 

I nod my head brushing him off because I've been to parties before. He hands me an unopened can of something and I take it. 

"To new beginnings," he says raising his can. I raise my can and we take a long sip together.

A couple of drinks later and I finally got the confidence to go dance. I swayed my hips to the beat having a good time. Andy saw a friend from work and offered to go get a drink with him so I was alone at the moment. Usually, I would have gone with him but I was letting loose and didn't care at the moment. 

I felt a pair of hands go around my waist. It didn't register until I felt his breath on my neck. I turned around seeing Cole eyeing me up and down. 

"Lookin' good babe," he slurred. I turned to walk away from him but he grabbed my wrist and pulled me back to him. 

"Where do you think you're going babe." he sneered

"Away from you," I say ripping my wrist from his grip. 

"Is there a problem here?" says an unrecognizable voice.

I look up and see a tall boy with sandy brown hair and light green eyes.  

"It's none of your business bro, so just leave us," says Cole going to grab my wrist again. 

" Yeah I think not," I scoffed, yanking my wrist from Coles's grasp and walking away from them. I headed towards the white plastic table where all the drinks were set up to see people smoking joints and taking lines. I grabbed a red solo cup and filled it with vodka and cranberry juice.  

I walked away from the table keeping an eye out for  Andy and Cole. I was looking for the green-eyed boy to thank him but I didn't see him anywhere. 

"There you are," I hear Andy say behind me. "I'm hungry so hurry up with that so we can go to that pizza place."  

I raise my cup up to my lips and down the rest of my drink. Andy stares at me with a "is that necessary look." I throw the empty cup inside the fire and start heading back to the car.
