Aris's POV

(This chapter is gonna be short)

As Anakin and I land in the hangar of the Theed palace I see Obi-Wan coming out of the power generator room, carrying a figure.

Anakin and I flip open our cockpits and shout, "Bro, that was awesome!"

We run towards Obi-Wan, interested to find out what he is carrying. When I manage to see the figure clearly, I stop dead in my tracks.

"Q-Qui-Gon?" I stutter.

Obi-Wan nods sadly.

Anakin catches up and has the same reaction as me.

"What happened?" I question. "Is he alright?"

Obi-Wan looks down at the floor.

"No. He is gone." Obi-Wan's voice is shaky.

I can't believe my ears. The only person who was ever like a father to me is now gone. I bite my lip, trying not to cry. Anakin pats my back as he gazes at Qui-Gon's dead body.

I will not cry. I can't be so weak.

After a short while, I ask Obi-Wan, "What's gonna happen to me and Anakin now?"

"I will train you both, whether the council likes it or not. You will be a Jedi, I promise," Obi-Wan replies. I can hear the determination in his voice.

Anakin and I nod.

As we three walk outside, I see a massive red ship landing in the coutyard of the main hangar. Two Neimoidians stand in front of Padme and a bunch of other soldiers. Me, Anakin and Obi-Wan all rush out to meet them.

"Now, Viceroy, you're going to have to go back to the senate and explain all this," Padme says as Captain Panaka walks up to them.

"I think you can kiss your trade franchise goodbye," he says and walks away.

I think Padme was successful in her bit of the plan.

The two Neimoidians are whisked away and me, Anakin and Obi-Wan walk up front to meet Chancellor Palpatine and bow before him.

" We are indebted to you for your bravery, Obi-Wan Kenobi," Palpatine says to Obi-Wan. He turns to me and Anakin.

"And you, young Skywalkers, we will watch your careers with great interest."

Palpatine walks away and the Jedi Masters come out.

He walks up to Padme and says some stuff, I can't hear them.

"...peace and prosperity to the Republic," Palpatine finishes, a little louder now.

Anakin and I look at each other.

"Well, at least the Chancellor supports us," I say.

Anakin stares into the distance.

"I wonder how's Mom doing now."

Third Person POV

"Confer on you, the level of Jedi knight, the council does," Yoda paces around the room. "But agree with you taking these children as your Padawan learners, I do not."

"Qui-Gon believed in them," Obi-Wan replies.

Yoda sighs.

"The Chosen Ones the children may be. Nevertheless, grave danger I fear in their training."

"Master Yoda, I gave Qui-Gon my word. I will train Anakin," Obi-Wan says defiantly. Yoda paces around the room again.

"Without the approval of the Council if I must," Obi-Wan continues.

"Qui-Gon's defiance I sense in you. Need that, you do not."

Yoda turns around to face Obi-Wan.

"Agree with you, the council does. Your apprentices, Skywalkers will be."

Obi-Wan bows as Yoda sighs again.

Aris's POV

Qui-Gon's body goes up in flames. (Cause it's his funeral)

Padme, me, Anakin, Obi-Wan, Palpatine, some members of the Jedi council, and a ton more people stand at the side, watching.

"Has the council given permission to train us?" I ask Obi-Wan.

"Yes," he replies.

At one side, I see Mace Windu turning towards Yoda, saying some stuff.

I feel the tears well up in my eyes once again, and this time it's not only me. Anakin hastily wipes his eyes, only for more liquid to replace it.

I pat his back, just like he did not too long ago.

Even though Qui-Gon is gone, well, at least I'm gonna be a Jedi, right?

Third Person POV

"There's no doubt. The mysterious warrior was a Sith," Mace Windu says.

"Always two there are, no more, no less. A master and an apprentice," Yoda replies.

"But which one was destroyed, the master or the apprentice?"
