-~Angel's POV~-

We all sat there, looking at that computer where the Chief had been. Two of our friends had been infected by a parasite that would make them try to kill off the crew and the only way to make sure they don't do that is to throw them into the cold abyss of space. And some of us might die if we don't do that quick enough.

Rosie was trembling and their were tears in her eyes. "I-I don't want t-to die! I-I... W-what w-will our parents do?"

I hugged her, comforting both her and myself. "It'll be alright." I murmured.

Who walked in and looked inside at the chaos that was unravelling. "Did I miss something?"

So Bubblegum decided to give us a day off because of you know what and also to explore the Skeld. So me and Rosie decided to look around at what will be our bedrooms. Our room was a bare, whitewashed area with nothing other than a bunkbed, a white desk and an empty bookshelf in the corner. I went back to the Launchpad were the Dropship was stationed. In the Dropship was our crate of luggage. The place still smelt faintly of whatever gas the meteoroids had dispersed. The Navigation unit was a wreck. The only thing holding together the shattered glass was probably what was two entire rolls of duct tape.

I went back to the lobby area and lugged my crate-full of stuff to my room.

"And... there!" I said after putting the last glow-in-the-dark plastic star on the ceiling. I dumped the ladder outside our hallway, hoping that I'd remember to put it back in Storage. I turned to Rosie. "What do you think?"

I had completely customised the room. The beds were filled with a wide arrangement of cushions. The desk was laden with pencil cases, a pen holder, a lamp, a laptop, a notebook and a sketchpad. The bookshelf was full of our favourite books and series: Percy Jackson, Magnus Chase, the Kane Chronicles, Aru Shah, the Heroes of Olympus and the Land of Stories series as well. Can you tell Rosie likes reading?

Rosie looked up from a picture she was drawing. "I love it! It looks just like home..."

On the last statement Rosie grew sad again. I walked over to her and crouched down to her height. "We will get back home, you know that right?"

Rosie looked at me, at first with doubt. Then determination replaced the uncertainty. "We will."

I ruffled her hair. "That's the spirit!"

-~???'s POV~-

I ran into Electrical and behind the light generator. I sprinted in the corner and clutched my stomach. The parasite... it had gotten me. I could barely think straight. I heard footsteps approaching. No... I couldn't let anyone see this. Unless I wanted to be thrown into space. I looked around for any possible means of escape. A vent. I opened the lid and dived inside. The footsteps continued to advance. I shut my eyes. This is it. I opened one eye and peeped out of the vent. I heard them mutter to themselves. "I could have sworn someone was here..."

The footsteps retreated into the hallway and into Storage. I let out a sigh of relief.

"So... You are the other imposter I take it?" a voice said.

I whirl around. There was someone else in the vent with me. They were also grasping their stomachs. The parasite... it had gotten them as well.

"Y-yes" I sighed. I unzipped my spacesuit down a bit. There was a cut on my stomach. A small mouth with razor teeth was slowly replacing that space. "I-I don't want to kill anyone." I gasped out. The pain was like a scorching knife. It was getting more intense with every passing minute. The other imposter put a hand around me. I looked up at them. They were also grimacing and in extreme pain. "I know you don't. N-nobody wants t-to kill anyone here and-"

They winced. "-we'll find a way around this. M-maybe w-we'll be able to make a c-cure."

"I hope so."

There has to be a way around this. Maybe we could resist the urge. We will find a way won't we?

WON'T WE?
