After the Lan Clan Juniors paid them a visit, seeing the twins and after congratulating the couple, wishing them health and happiness, they all exited Jingshi and went to their usual training.
Lan Qiren and Lan Xichen had visited them earlier that day, bringing gifts like white baby cloth and food such as cake, brown sugar,
millet, eggs, and walnut meats. They also brought red eggs accordingly to tradition, an even number for the girl and an odd one for the boy.
After the offerings the older leader left, leaving Lan Xichen and Lan Sizhui with the couple.
"I wonder if XiaoJuan and XiaoJun will be the same height or if one of them will be taller than the other." Sizhui wondered out loud with excitement.
"Too bad planting a little one into the ground doesn't actually increase height, right A-Yuan?" Wei Wuxian teased the younger discipline and the other smiled in response.
"It's amazing how you managed to keep composed all this time, Wei Wuxian" Lan Xichen simply said while staring down at the peacefully sleeping twins. "Ah, this one looks like you, Wangji" he said while pointing at the sleeping girl.
"Zewu-Jun, you're right!" Wei Ying said amazed and looked closer at his daughter.
"Ahaha, Lan Zhan she's as serious as you!" Wei Wuxian said and Lan Wangji couldn't help but smile.
Watching that, Lan Xichen cleared his throat and announced "I'll be leaving first, Wangji, Wei Wuxian. Lan Sizhui, are you coming?"
Sizhui nodded as Lan Xichen exited the Quiet Room's main doors and took some steps forward to meet Wei Wuxian. The other looked at him patiently.
"Is there anything A-Yuan want to say?"
Lan Sizhui took a pouch out of his inner robes and handed it to Wei Ying shyly. Wei Ying looked at it stunned.
"Not long ago I asked for Hanguang-Jun's permission to go on a trip with Uncle Ning.
Uncle Ning told me of the gift you prepared for baby Jin Ling and I got a bit inspired.. So we picked up some lotus seeds and made them into protective bracelets for the twins.. "
"A-Yuan what are you.." Wei Wuxian teared up.
"I'm thankful of Ying-gege and rich-gege taking care of me so fondly. I couldn't help but want to pay back" he gave a hopeful smile to Hanguang-Jun, bowed, and left quickly for his practice.
"This kid.."
"You raised him right, Wei Ying" Lan Zhan said and placed his hand on Wei Wuxian's. They stood like that for a few minutes and then Hanguang-Jun started tying golden bells on the twins' wrists and ankles to keep away the bad spirits, with Wei Wuxian quiet minologuing.
"I wonder if or when Jiang Cheng will come. He surely got my letters, didn't he, Lan Zhan?"
Lan Wangji hummed in reply, stepping away from their children.
"Done already? This husband sure is fast" the other commented.
Lan Wangji grabbed Wei Wuxian's hands and pulled the other into his arms. He kissed Wei Wuxian on the lips, easily parting and allowing Lan Wangji's tongue to enter.
The kiss was quiet, but very passionate and no one was allowed to witness such a scene. The twins had taken after Wei Wuxian in regards to being heavy sleepers once asleep it is very difficult to wake them up.
"Fine, Lan Zhan. Now that all our visitors are gone, let's have a bit of this type of fun." Wei Wuxian voice turned slightly breathless after the kiss and his lips got a bit swollen. "Our twins won't be waking up until early in the morning."
Wei Wuxian was smiling, hands on Lan Wangji's robes, and pulling them open, pushing him down onto their shared bed.
