"He did not!" Mina exclaimed. You rolled your eyes at her reaction and shrugged.

"It's not a big deal, to be honest. I was mad at first but now? I truly couldn't give a single—"

"More running less talking!" Aizawa shouted. Yes, instead of having an orientation you and the other students were, unfortunately, running laps around the gym. Aizawa didn't believe in orientation, and you were a fool to think that he would have a presentation that everyone could sit down and take it all in. You could even call this Class 1A's new beginnings, part two.

"He seriously went all the way to your dorm to tell you that?" she glanced over to him and groaned, "What a jerk." Giving her a toothy grin you nudged her on the arm while she pouted some more. "I'm just saying if I was him I wouldn't have even dared to be ten feet near you. The humiliation and shame would make me wanna hide in my room forever. I mean look at you, letting a pretty girl slip from his fingers like that is so dumb!"

Mina pulled her hair in a mini bun, leaving strands of her curly hair out. The clacking of her pink shoelaces on the gym floor was filling up your conversation, while your ears were in tune, your mind, however, was in a state of ruckus. "All I'm saying is that Midoriya lost a gem. But look on the bright side," she shoved her hand on your jaw and turned your attention to Bakugo, who was cursing out Kaminari for running too slow for his liking. "Why focus on old news when you can focus on the newest story?" she sang.

Your lips involuntarily formed a cheeky smile that made Mina's eyes light up with enthusiasm. "I don't like him like that, I swear! He's my friend Mina and besides, you know how he is. Mind is always on how to make it to the top. Sure, there's times when he shows some sort of compassion, but still. I don't think I'm ready to get in a relationship anyway," you said, though the tone of your words conveyed a more sensual meaning, one that Mina could easily read.

You peered over your shoulder and glanced over at him giving a faint smile. He looked back at you and rolled his eyes, though you couldn't tell if he flashed you back a smile or if the lights in the gym were messing with your peripheral vision. "Mina, I don't know about you but—" you stepped on Mina's shoelace causing her to trip, pulling you down with the force of All Might himself. A loud thump was heard across the room, stopping everyone dead in their tracks.

"Are you alright!" Momo called out from the other side of the gym.

"Yeah, we're okay," you groaned. "Mina, tie your shoe next time."

"Sorry, sorry. I was just interested in what was going on with you," she said, wiping her outfit off. Aizawa cleared his throat and stared down at the two of you. You didn't even have to look at him to tell that he was already annoyed.

"After the two of you run your last two laps, run three more," he ordered. You stared at him dumbfounded. Three more?! "Run in the opposite way of each other so you can focus on the task at hand. Get to it." You slugged your arms around and ran to the left of Aizawa while Mina ran to the right. Your left knee stung with each step you took, while your hands had a burning sensation that didn't seem to go away. Oh, Mina. Mina, Mina, Mina. While the rest of your classmates were finishing up their laps you finally began your 5th lap out of eight while Mina was still on her 4th.

"Now then," you heard Aizawa speak. "It's been a week since you've last been at school. I hope you learned something while you were on break." From where you were you saw your teacher pull a white, skinny-looking object from his back pocket and held it up in the air for everyone to see. "Because we're going to put your knowledge to the test, pair up into two's and stand with your back against the wall." The class scurried to their friend groups; bickering about who should be partnered up with who and who shouldn't be. They mumbled alongside each other, hovering over their next "target".
