11: jealous

Charlie walked beside Nick as they made their way to school. They had come out almost three months ago so they shamelessly held hands as much as possible. Nick smiled at his boyfriend who was basically jumping with joy since it was the first day back from spring break.

"Why are you so excited?" Nick asked softly.

"Because I get to see my friends again! And Isaac said he made a new friend over break, and he's starting at Truham today!" Charlie explained, excitement filling his voice.

"What's his name?" Nick asked, also excited to meet a new friend.

"Um, Aled I think. He seems really nice!" Charlie explained. "He's also gay, so I'm really excited to get to know him!"

As soon as Charlie said that statement, Nick became a lot less excited to meet Aled. He didn't like to admit that he was the jealous type, but Nick sometimes hated how friendly Charlie could be.

"Yeah, he seems nice," Nick said softly. The couple walked in silence for the rest of the walk.

When they arrived at school, they walked over to their group of friends.

"Charlie!" Elle exclaimed.

"Elle!" Charlie ran over to her and hugged her tightly before hugging Tao and Isaac. Then he waved at Aled and introduced himself. "Hi! I'm Charlie, I've heard so much about you!"

"Hi! I'm Aled as you know I guess," he replied shyly.

"It's so nice to meet you!"

"Yeah you too."

Nick came up behind Charlie and said hi to everyone, he also introduced himself to Aled then stood beside Charlie again.

"Hey love, are you ready to go to form?" Nick asked Charlie.

"I think I'm going to stay here with the group for a bit and talk with Aled some more. You go ahead though!" Charlie said. Nick smiled and kissed his forehead, eyeing Aled as he did so.

"Okay, see you later," Nick said before walking off. Charlie immediately started talking with Aled again.

"So, where are you from?" Charlie asked the blonde boy.

Aled smiled widely before answering, "originally my family is from Paris, but we moved here a few weeks ago!"

"Woah, that's so cool! Do you speak French?" Charlie asked excitedly.

"Oui!" Aled replied. Charlie giggled.

"What form group are you in?" Charlie asked.

"Uh, B25 I think," Aled answered.

"That's my group too! You should sit with me and Nick! It'll be so fun!" Charlie suggested.

"Okay!" Aled agreed.

"Let's go!" Charlie looped his arm with Alex's and said bye to his friends. Then they walked to their form room laughing and talking. They kept their arms together as they entered the room. Nick looked up and glared at Aled when he saw that their arms were linked.

Charlie and Aled went over to Mr Singh and Charlie smiled brightly at him.

"Hi Mr Lange, this is Aled, he's new. Can he sit with me and Nick?" Charlie asked.

"Hello Aled, it's nice to meet you! I don't see a problem with that, maybe you and Nick could help him out by showing him his classes today," Mr Lange suggested.

"Okay!" Charlie agreed. "Our seats are just over there." Charlie pointed over to Nick, who was on his phone. Charlie and Aled made their way over to the seats, Charlie sat in his seat and told Aled to sit next to him.
