A Drop Of Rain [Prologue]

" Why?" screams a traumatized voice

" Fifteen years of SHIT! Get tout and don't touch me you bastard how could you and in my own home! "

" What are you doing here?" I wonder if that sound is my dads  and I realize that it is and I hear the splitting sounds of breaking glass and merciless screams.

I race to the door and swing it open to find out what has happened and I see my mother tossing clothes and screaming and I hear her make a big sob. I stand ignorant as to what is going on not really comprehending what is going on. I see a blonde run by me in her birthday suit, then realization dawns on me; my mother found dad cheating. I really don't know what to think at this point as my dad is my role-model and I never knew he could ever be unfaithful. I think its time I stop thinking and talk to my mother.

" Mama are you okay? " Though I know the amswer

" Go ask that man you call your father" from her reply I knew she saw the act itself so I go in search of my dad and find him on the roof.

" Dad..." I stretch my words so I have his attention " What's going on? Are you okay" I care more for my dad as he is also my best friend because my mother is never really around or when she is she is always too busy which makes me hostile towards her because when I was growing up she use to beat the shit out of me which gave me a bad temper and not like corporal punishment.

"  I'm fine hunny, everything is okay."

I feel offended as I just walked in when this all happened and  my father says he's fine when he's not i feel like an inquisitive 8 year old because my father just tried to blow me off.

" Dad if everything was fine you wouldn't be on the roof because I know you only come up here when you need to think and also there wouldn't have been a naked blonde running through the door "

I know what is going on but I just want my father to be honest enough to tell me.

" You're right I only come up here when I need to think right now and as you can see you're not allowing me to think so please just go to your room"

I cant believe he really did that, he has some blonde run through the door and he's sending me to my room and is upset with me? what tha fuck? Is that even legal?! I hiss at him and I have some very lovely words to tell him but I decide against it as I know it will only back fire, but the braver side of me lets off

" Look, I know what you did I am not an ignorant 8 year old, you cheated, and mom caught you, you do realize all my respect for you has gone right, if you cant commit how will I be able to commit we both trusted you. I know mom will be hurt, we both aren't too fund of her but that low..."

Before I can finish he lashes back out on me and sends me to my room once more and yaps about me being disrespectful. I roll my eyes proudly infront of him and walk away while he is talking because at this point I am not really interested.  Cheating does it for me because I hate people who cant commit.

I go to my room as suggested by my father but then again I don't really care. Then I realize it's time I call Jaime and fill her in. I sprawl out on the bed and dial her number in and call her and she answers on the second ring.

" Girl you wont believe what happened"

" Hello to you too biatch, what happened" I instantly smile because I can imagine her face as i hear the interest drip from her words " tell me erithang" she speaks in the tone of someone from out of town would.

" I got home from school and heard my mom cursing and I couldn't believe what I heard because you know mom never curses and you know she's never really home so i go inside wondering what the hell was going on. and i walked inside saw her screaming and saw clothes flying through the air and a naked blonde run pass me..."

" Holy noodles Sky! you're joking"

' Wish I was but its true then I went to dad and he went all thermonuclear on me so I just walked away when i lost interest and I told him how I felt and left him speechless on the roof'

' Omg, but remember you and your mother aren't even friends and that was brave"

" Yea, I know it all comes with good morals."

we both giggle at that remark and then my phone makes a beep

" Jaime hold on someone is tryna get to me" I hold down the phone and my heart leaps because i realize that Ethan is calling I squeal with excitement and tell Jaime, but I haven't been spending time with Jaime so i let the voicemail take it. Later that evening i decide on listening to the voicemail.

" Babe, whats going on, I've been trying to get to you, we still on for later, let me know, growing old here?' i find it a little strange because Ethan didn't call before or try to get to me and we didn't really have plans but why not just go over his house. As the shocking events of today happened i think I can bend the rules a little my father did break my trust.  so maybe I should rectify the situation of my virgin status. Afterall I am sixteen tomorrow so why not just do it for a birthday present.

1,000 notifications come in at the middle of the night. 200 missed calls who the hell could it be now?
      IT'S KRISTEN DUBOIR CALL ME BACK, ASAP ;)

Kristen?!
I never speak to her, we never speak. How does she even have my number we've hated each other for years.
So I call back, must be important.
"Hello? How did you get my number"
"Hey lil miss pris, I guess you are stupid enough to answer the phone. Hear what, I need a favor"
The nerve I roll my eyes and sigh
"What?!"
"Easy now, turn on your computer"
I do, and another notification comes up but this time on my computer screen. I feel the blood rush to my ears and I stop breathing
"Now are you ready to listen? " I can see her smirk over her tone and I die a little inside.
