Rosalie's POV
I crossed the bridge into the French Quarter and walked at a human's pace whilst following the Mikaelsons' scents into the heart of the city. However, it didn't take long for me to pick up on quick vampiric movement following me and I ducked into an alleyway only to come face to face with my first friend in the vampiric world.
"Well that did not take you long at all." I said to Kol. "I was scared you wouldn't be here, with your family." I clarified.
"What are you doing here?" He asked me suspiciously.
"I take it from your tone you already have an idea as to why." I stated. Kol didn't react, refusing to give anything away. "We didn't do it. My idiot brother, Edward, fell in love with a human and they had sex, and well you've been around long enough to know what happens then."
"Yes, all that time, and I've still never heard of that happening." Kol commented. He seemed annoyed for some reason. "Do you know what I've been doing ever since I first heard this news? I have been vamping all over the state silencing anyone who knows about it before my sister finds out. You weren't planning on asking for her help as well as mine, were you?"
"Well, I was thinking Rebekah would want to help and then she'd make you help as well."
Kol scowled at how well I knew him and his relationship with his twin "I hate you."
"Kol?" I asked but he shushed me. A second later Rebekah appeared beside him. "Rosalie! I thought I picked up your scent." She greeted hugging me. "What brings you to New Orleans?" From behind Rebekah, Kol glared at me but I figured if he hadn't killed me in 90 years, there was a chance he wouldn't now.
"My family and I need your help. The Volturi have accused us of a terrible crime that we haven't committed and are coming to kill us all."
"And you want us to kill them first?" Kol questioned.
"No, but I thought that's what you might want to do." I titled my head smirking at him as he nodded in agreement. "Carlisle wants witnesses."
"Oh, he really does take the fun out of everything." Kol complained.
"What is this crime the Volturi have accused you of?" Rebekah asked. Kol sighed knowing this wouldn't end well. "They have accused us of creating an immortal child but she's not - she's half-vampire and half-human - she grows, she eats, she sleeps."
"A child that is half-human and half-vampire? Your species can procreate with with humans?" Rebekah asked stunned. "I have never heard of that."
"I can show you." I said offering her the chance to look into my mind. Rebekah nodded and placed a hand at my temple whilst Kol watched through their twin connection. After a few minutes she pulled back. "We need to tell the others." She said to Kol. "Uh, thank you for telling us Rosalie. We'll speak with our family and see if we can be of any help." Rebekah almost stuttered as she walked over to Kol taking his hand before they vamped off.
