Chapter two

They were there when it happened. The mikaelsons of course... after the incident in the woods Josie didn't give up.
No matter what. it just made her more determined of bringing back Hope until... She was at the Mikaelson residence one night brain storming with everyone for more ideas.

Books and grimoires all over the table along with dark objects, bottles and glasses of alchohol.

Kol was explaining some idea he had, when Josie started feeling odd, it's like her world was spinning and she couldn't direct herself to one point.

She was nauseous and had a huge headache, She tried walking to get herself some water but that didn't quite work.

Rebekah noticed it though, Josie was not walking straight, and not noticing a thing in her way and Rebekah knew something was off.

She was there to catch the brunette when everything went black. The siphoner woke up only a week after, but all the mikaelsons were right there with her when she did.

They have become like a second family to her in those few weeks, they cared for her and treated her like she was one of their own. Then Josie found out she was slowly becoming one.

It was a few hours after Josie woke up that keelin and freya walked into the room, a tray of food and some tea in hands.
Freya set the tray in front of Josie and then sat with Keelin on the edge of the bed.
"So... Josie, while you were asleep-" Keelin started in a very soft and caring tone which made Josie worried.

"Please don't tell me something happened to Hope." the brunette hurried to cut the werewolf short, her brain too worried to think about anything else.

"No- don't worry! nothing of that kind. It's actually something that happened to you..." Freya replied which calmed Josie down as she started digging through her food.

"You see while you asleep, we were really worried, and thought something may be wrong so I did some tests and..." Keelin continued from before and her face was saying it all to Josie.

She began getting to know the werewolf as soon as she got here with kol and davina, they knew each other so well at that point, that Josie knew exactly what was happening.

When Josie started feeling weird things after the incident the older woman insisted Josie will let her examine the siphoner, but Josie argued back and said it'll pass and there's nothing to worry about.

But from the number of medical books she read in her life she knew exactly what those symptoms were. And seeing the looks exchanged between the wives connecting with the silence in the room and that look...

Josie knew her suspicions were right and now her mind was connecting the dots, between what Hope said that day and the symptoms, and this entire moment. She knew. Josie was pregnant. With Hope's baby of all things.

"I'm pregnant." She said outloud, it shocked her that those words were actually coming out of her mouth. She never knew this was possible yet here she was?!?

"Yeah, we did blood testing and even magical testing and then yesterday Kol and Rebekah heard it for the first time. The heartbeat." Freya said which took Josie completely out of her thoughts.

Cause now there's no denying it, there's a heartbeat inside her. A creature growing and one that she loves more than anything already.
