It was then, at that moment, it all struck her.
The heaviest of weights falling onto her chest, she began suffocating- forgetting how to properly breath. Knees bucking, she falls to the floor. The sounds of her tortured sobs fill the room unable to be stifled no matter how hard she tries. Her face turning between shades of red and purple she forces herself to try to at least take a breath.
What had always appeared to be the same lives lived, was just a delusion.
Her delusion.
Stemmed from nothing more than idolizing her family. Placing them atop the highest mountain, it was her firm belief they never had- and never could do wrong. Loving them whole heartedly she had always, always, looked up to them. She had been blinded by her own naivety. It was because of this she failed to see clearly how broken and estranged her family truly was. And it was because of this...her brother was dead.
