We were born to win but expected to fail.
They beat us down then they bury us under the jail.
They shoot us when we're unarmed, and then they walk around free with no charge.
They spit in our face and expect us to smile.
We build ourselves up and then they tear us back down.
They tell us to go back from where we came, but they were the one's who bought us here as slaves.
But we ourselves our also the blame, we sold each other out ain't that a shame.
But what's more sad is that ain't shit change, because in 2015 we still doing the same.
Crabs in barrel we can't seem to escape, instead of loving one another we choose to hate.
We wait on change instead of pursuing the cause.
We stand back in watch our communities being raped and robbed.
They told us everything that we couldn't be and we believed every word.
They told us that a nigger using their brain was absurd.
They told us that our brains were to small to comprehend.
They told us if we made it to the gates that God wouldn't let us in.
They told us that they would make a nightmare out of Dr. King's Dream.
They told us that Malcolm X wouldn't inspire us to lead.
They taught us to aim low and settle for less.
When they finally gave us a choice we accepted our deaths.
They said that our history would never be written.
They said that all our leaders where dead but they forgot about Bitten.
